Terrible parody of TV's "Dream On"
lor_17 March 2023
Though screenwriter George Kaplan tries to provide snappy dialog, this Vivid misfire steals from the tv series "Dream On" with meager results. Like many other 1990s porn it was released in two parts, feturing basically the same cast.

Lead role is changed from male to movie for the porn version, with Heather Hunter as book editor Marty, assinged by her boss Lexus to begin an erotica division at their publishing house. Her first prospective author is an egotistical jerk played by Jon Dough, who is just a porno actor, hardly a writer, but Heather humps him anyway and then complains that he has no manuscript to offer her.

Tony Tedeschi is her ex-husband, and he gets to hump Janet Jacme, who has written non-fiction about her adventures as a "Sybil" styled woman with multiple personalities, in a threesome with Peter North. Movie fails to exploit this gimmick, and in fact plays as a series of disconnected sex scenes with tons of dialog separating them.

Chloe adds a bit of peppiness to the dull show, playing Heather's friend who hosts a tv talk show and has lesbian sex with Heather. As a guest on the show, Dough gets to hump Alyssa Love, pure filler. Anther Alyssa, namely Alyssa Allure delivers anal sex in a threesome with North and Lexus.

The tie-in with "Dream On" is a highly ineffective constant cutting back & forth with black & whtie footage from old Vivid videos, featuring many famous porn folk for a few seconds each, like Steven St. Croix, Paul Thomas and a few contract girls. This is meant to comment on the live action, but is merely annoying and random.

It adds up to a prime example of how crappy and pointless the whole porn-parody genre was (and thanks to hacks like Axel Braun, still is).
