Peer deep within your soul. Understand what kind of Key and Peele fan you are. Because if the East/West College Bowl, Obama Anger Translator Luther, or the valets whose heads explode over "Liam Neesons" are strictly your jam, then Keanu may not be. If, however, you embrace the pair's more strangely ludicrous, high-concept fare, then settle in.
Jordan Peele plays Rell, adrift about being recently dumped by his girlfriend. Keegan-Michael Key is his cousin, Clarence, whose wife is conveniently out of town for the weekend. Nothing appears to lift Rell's spirits until a sweet little kitty appears on his doorstep.

Comedy duo Key and Peele are about to hit the big screen with their first feature film after wrapping up their successful Comedy Central sketch comedy show. Now, they dusted off one of their more popular sketches to help promote their new movie Keanu and bring attention to cats in need of adoption. Take a moment and meet the Real Treehouse Cats of Chicago. If you were a fan of Key & Peele then you.ll remember one of their recurring sketches was the East-West College Bowl Game. As part of it, Keegan Michael Key and Jordan Peele would take turns introducing themselves as college football players. Each would have completely bizarre names, and also hairdos. Here, they.re doing the same thing with cats looking for adoption. I have to admit there are some adorable cats here. Our favorites include Tuna Catersol and Quakin' Face Ammonia Bottom. It.s probably...

There are plenty of reasons why summer is many people's favorite season – the quality of TV usually isn't one of them.
The months between May finales' live-Tweeting and fall premieres' awards-contender chatter has long been a proverbial dumping ground for shows the networks use to fill dead air between reruns and informercials. But that doesn't mean there aren't a few exceptions to this age-old pattern.
Below, we highlight nine summer TV shows that defy the odds and have made us year-round fans.

Espn’s broadcast of the inaugural College Football Playoffs National Championship (“O-h-i-o!”) set a network record with 33.4 million total viewers — trumping the New Year’s Eve bowl games, which each drew north of 28 million.
Versus last year’s Bcs National Championship, the Cfpnc (which really needs a catchier/sexier name at some point e.g “Super College Bowl Extreme”) was up 26 percent.
Opposite football, ABC’s The Bachelor drew 6.4 million total viewers and a 1.7 rating, down 18 and 23 percent from its bloated three-hour premiere (to a demo low). Castle returned to 6.8 mil/1.4, dipping 7 percent in audience but steady in the demo...

Like Key & Peele? Wonderful. You’ll be pleased to hear that as Keegan-Michael Key and Jordan Peele rocket to the upper echelons of stardom, they’re working on at least four different films, plus another season of their hit Comedy Central show. The full list, according to Entertainment Weekly: a Police Academy remake; a collaboration with Judd Apatow; a horror movie entirely without yuks (Key only on that one); and a brand new addition, a feature version of their “Substitute Teacher” sketch. Here’s how “Substitute Teacher” goes: Key plays Mr. Garvey, a straight-arrow drill sergeant of a substitute teacher who spent 20 years teaching in the inner city and isn’t about to take any of your gumption. Only, now he’s teaching in an upper-middle-class, all-white (mostly) high school and entirely unprepared for students that aren’t constantly trying to screw him. Also, 20 years in the inner city have left him incapable of pronouncing the name...

Comedy Central‘s Key & Peele has been renewed for a fourth season, which will include 20 original and two “best of” episodes. Additionally, the cable network has given series creators/stars Keegan-Michael Key and Jordan Peele a development deal for an animated series based on their Critiquer’s Corner “Vandaveon & Mike” characters from the duo’s YouTube videos, in which they critique Key & Peele episodes as their alter-egos Vandaveon Huggins and Mike Taylor (watch a video below). In the animated project, Vandaveon & Mike are 12-year-old hall monitors navigating their way through middle school. “Keegan and Jordan keep generating such a limitless supply of funny, inventive sketches, I’m starting to think they are not only 1/2 black and 1/2 white, but also 3/4 alien,” said Comedy Central’s president of original programming Kent Alterman. Key & Peele is executive produced by Key, Peele, Jay Martel, Ian Roberts and Joel Zadak. The show’s third season,...

In case you weren't already amused enough by the eclectic cast for FX's "Fargo," which features Billy Bob Thornton, Martin Freeman, Bob Odenkirk, Keith Carradine, Adam Goldberg, Glenn Howerton, Kate Walsh and more, the network announced on Wednesday (February 26) that Key & Peele are joining the cast. Comedy Central stars Keegan-Michael Key and Jordan Peele will join "Fargo" for a four-episode arc that lets them work together, playing a pair of FBI agents. FX says that FBI partners Webb Pepper (Peele) and Bill Budge (Key) will have a violent run-in with Thornton's Lorne Malvo and will become obsessed with finding him again, bringing them into the show's main orbit in Bemidji, Minnesota. And yes, those character names certainly sound like candidates to appear in the next East/West College Bowl. And hopefully every time Petter mentions Budge's name, it'll sound a lot like "Fudge." "Fargo," a 10-episode limited series in the...

Judd Apatow continues to be comedy's chief conduit. Deadline reports that Apatow will write and produce a movie with Key & Peele's Keegan-Michael Key and Jordan Peele. “I think Key and Peele are capable of making the movie that America desperately needs right now,” Apatow said. There's no word on the plot, but hopefully it's about the rival head coaches of the East/West College Bowl.

If you miss the season 3 premiere of Key & Peele tonight on Comedy Central, you better avoid the Internet and the water cooler tomorrow, for fear of hearing the most quotable lines and hilarious plot points before you get a chance to enjoy them yourselves.
Keegan Michael Key is living that exact nightmare right now: While his wife is in Europe, he promised to avoid watching the latest Breaking Bad until she got back — meaning he has yet to see “Ozymandias,” one of the most thrilling hours of television ever. Now, he’s walking in a veritable minefield of spoilers everywhere he goes.

One of Key and Peele's most popular sketches from last season was "East/West College Bowl," poking fun at the names of college football players. (Davoin Shower-Handle, J'Dinkalage Morgoone, and Beezer Twelve Washingbeard were personal favorites.) Now the show has released a whole new segment from the series' upcoming third season, and back to the football names we go. It is fantastic, of course.Ladennifer Jadaniston is utter perfection, but the callback to the show's other viral hit sketch about names is the A. A. Ron icing on the cake.

Big bucks, expensive vowels, and a million cackling Whammies.
The Daytime Emmys are this Sunday, and for the first time ever, there’s a gay nominee for Best Game Show Host — the marvelous and frightfully funny Billy Eichner. Wahoo! To celebrate, let’s rank the 25 best game shows of all time. Get out your purse and prepare to buy some vowels, gents.
25. Where in the World is Carmen Sandiego?: Sorry Double Dare, but Carmen Sandiego is the greatest kids’ game ever. It made geography cool while highlighting the glamorous felonies of a femme fatale. I wish more TV shows concluded with the entire cast yelling in unison, “Do it, Rockapella!”
24. Let’s Make a Deal: Carol Merrill and Monty Hall could woo you into anything. Though if you’re already wearing a chicken outfit, you probably don’t need much coercing.
23. Sale of the Century: Jim Perry...

To celebrate the recent news that his hilarious Comedy Central sketch series Key and Peele has been renewed for a third season, co-creator/star Keegan-Michael Key joins What's Trending to talk about how the show got started, getting to meet President Obama and bringing sketch comedy to YouTube.
Since that fateful day ten years ago when Key met Jordan Peele, his star-crossed partner in all things comedy, while auditioning for MadTV, the two have been working together on industry projects. When they were offered their own cable TV show in 2011, it's no surprise that they jumped at the chance.
Now, with two seasons under its belt, Key and Peele has not only proven to be a Comedy Central hit, but it's also enjoyed breakout success on YouTube.
"That's the most exciting thing about the show," Key says, "is how the presence online -- how is that going to affect what we do in the future?...

This Thanksgiving, I’m thankful for Downton Abbey’s imminent return to television in the States. Yes, Jan. 6 is still a few weeks away, but I can’t wait to see whether Matthew (Dan Stevens) and Mary (Michelle Dockery) actually walk down the aisle — they really need to, I couldn’t take another breakup — and what brand of American sass Shirley MacLaine brings with her across the pond. Plus, on a more sappy note, the series spawned a regular Sunday night Masterpiece viewing/wine-drinking party with a group of friends that is priceless to me.

My Son, The History Lesson
On his debut album Intimate Moments for a Sensual Evening recorded in July of 2009, comedian Aziz Ansari presents a veritable torrent of pop culture references throughout the hour-long routine. He jokes about harassing his cousin Harris on Facebook, pokes fun at Cold Stone Creamery, Cvs Pharmacy and Craigslist and then finishes with two big pre-encore bits involving Kanye West and R. Kelly, including an extended impression of R&B singer Kelly both in concert and then getting lapdances at the after-party. He even makes fun of himself for being tongue-tied around M.I.A.
It’s a great album from a very funny comic who, given his ongoing role in Parks & Recreation, his hosting this past summer of the MTV Movie Awards and parts in movies like Get Him to the Greek, Funny People and the upcoming 30 Minutes or Less (which will be his first...

When people cheerfully tell me, "I have a trivia question" for you, I have a cheerful answer for them, but I rarely express it: "I'm a professional. Ask an amateur." Why in the name of Buster would I want to clutter my memory with useless facts? During long, hard years of being asked trivia questions, I have learned one thing for sure. The person asking me is in the possession of one fact, and is pretty confident I don't know it. Therefore, my admission of defeat will demonstrate their superiority.
I know something about the movies, and here is how I really should reply: "Before I even attempt to answer your question, let me ask you five questions to see if you are qualified to even take up the time of a busy, busy man such as myself. (1) What is the name of the film that codified the language of the cinema?...
