Paul gets to combine his love of children and old musicals in this final Christmas Special for The Paul Daniels Magic Show. Also featuring with an illusion of his own is son Martin Daniels.
Paul begins the final series of the Magic Show by bringing on a man he's been trying to get over to the UK for more than five years: Sielu. A Samoan chief, Sielu introduces his culture with humour and audience engagement.
Featuring lots of special guests, this edition nevertheless ends on one of the most macabre moments of the entire show. Paul appears to place Debbie McGee in a box and burn her to death, with no indication she survived.
TV audiences get to breathe easily as Debbie McGee is shown to be alive and well. Among the guests on the show is the return of Sielu, showing the fire walking skills of members of his tribe.
Paul and Debbie get to pay homage to the world of silent cinema, while there's a visit to the circus with trapeze act the Flying Narvas. Among the other acts is card magician Carlos Vaquera.
With guests the acrobatic Ivanov Troupe. Also on the show are two returning acts: long-standing guest Tom Noddy and his smoke bubbles, plus, from just a few weeks earlier, the card magic of Richard Turner.
The final episode of the programme after fifteen years on air. Paul would return later in the year with a Christmas Special for a new show: Paul Daniels's Secrets (1994).
