Paul presents a musical Christmas Special with all the attractions of the fairground: not only his own tricks, but also tents with stage acts Chester Baker, Sakura, Professor Peter Hartly and the Great Bosconi.
Paul starts his new series with a 'big bang' and Debbie McGee loses her head. They are joined by guests the acrobatic Ashtons, plus, from France, the gymnastic skills of Eric Varelas and Amelie Demay.
Guests Licassi and Siegel use their bodies as human instruments, while the Marghonas practise heavyweight juggling. Also featured are Paul and Debbie as babies, and "Carnival Countdown".
Paul does tricks with numbers, and also gets to joke about the days when he presented the show in a wig. Not only is one used for quiz "Whack Your Pack", but archive footage from Paul's first meeting with guest Laci Endresz Jr. is shown.
Paul takes one of his biggest risks in this edition during a trick where a loaded gun is fired at him - the person aiming the gun is his father-in-law.
A show big on variety, with Paul singing, accompanied by composer Carl Davis on the piano. There's also a stilts/unicycle act from Colombia by the name of "Intrepidas", and Mongolian acrobats "Duo Lodoi".
Paul ends his twelfth series with a show packed full of guests. Appearing are Jon Pertwee, footballers Paul Gascoigne and Peter Shilton, acrobatic dance act Tom Lake and Kuniko Narai, plus the Trampoline Guys.
A special edition of the show, with Paul Daniels and Debbie McGee looking back over some of the highlights of the past decade. And, as Paul warns, this means "The return of the wig!"
