'Succession' a la porno -30 years ago!
lor_25 August 2023
Warning: Spoilers
A pleasant surprise, Stuart Canterbury's "Business & Pleasure" is a very fine Adult movie, forgotten but well worth a revival. Believe it or not, it's a XXX story quite similar to the premise for the recent HBO Max hit series "Succession", yet dating back 32 years!

Jerry Butler stars as the boss of a large corporation who is headed to Tokyo to nail down a huge deal, and while he's working on that project he must select a new president to run the company for however long he's away. He has three prospects vying for the plum position: Steve Drake, a smug manager of major accounts, Ron Jeremy, a hyper, insecure middle management exec worried he will be passed over for the opportunity, and Jacqueline, a high-powered femme exec, who we find in the opening sex scene willing to sleep with colleague Biff Malibu in return or getting some dirt to undermine Drake's chances. Before heading for Japan, Drake has invited the three execs over to his house to size them up and announce his choice. (Though they're not his kids, the plot hook of 2 guys and a gal vying for the top spot is very close to the "Succession" starting point!) Of course, all three candidates have sex for our viewing pleasure while Jerry ponders his decision, his girl friday Alycin Sterling by his side to help. In fact, one of her duties is to hire escorts to service him sexually, and Jerry likes to watch, in this case masturbating as three call girls (Cameo, Jenna Wells and Mona Lisa) have a hot lesbian threesome on his living room couch.

Jacqueline humps Biff; Ron Jeremy has sex with the zoftig Daphne, hard to recognize under a dark wig, and Drake samples Jerry's maid, buxom Leanna Foxxx, for stand-up sex in the bathroom.

An elegant ending has Butler deciding to leave the company's reins in the hands of reliable Alicyn Sterling, his loyal assistant. It turns out they've been strictly business together, but discover each has a crush on the other, so writer-director Canterbuy ends the show with their outdoor sex atop the headquarters building roof at its heliport, awaiting Jerry's ride. Acting (and sex) is solid throughout, with even Ron delivering an earnest performance instead of his usual joking around.
