"Strictly Business" is an average porn feature from the VHS era that exhibits in stark relief the major change of Adult Cinema from then to now, 30 years forward. This ensemble cast of familiar stars can really act, giving a minor sex comedy some punch and watchability that is absent from today's all-sex shows, which feature talent hired as models, not actors.
Case in point is lead player Robert Bullock, working for an ad agency and trying to get ahead, even at the expense of his lovely colleague Sharon Kane. He is a terrific actor, one of the best of his generation alongside the likes of Mike Horner and Richard Pacheco, and on today's scene perhaps only Steven St. Croix demonstrates comparable thesping ability.
It is fun to watch Kane and Bullock competing for favor at Randy West's agency, with some stabbing in the back and treachery presented in a comical way. As far as sex content, a young Nina Hartley is impressive as a dominant figure at a rival agency, while you couldn't ask for more than Shanna McCullough and Krista Lane in supporting roles.
A young actress Lacey Logan as West's secretary has a couple of well-done sex scenes, but never made the big time in porn.
