In May, Paramount+ is will be the streaming home for a host of new titles, including the well-timed documentary “King Charles: The Boy Who Walked Alone.” Utilizing original footage and interviews with staffers and friends, this CBS News film provides an insider’s look at England’s newest ruler. Bullied by his father and the child of an unemotional mother, Charles grew up isolated from his parents, the product of, in the words of one friend, “a spectacularly dysfunctional family.” A behind-the-scenes look at his marriage to Princess Diana and his future as the British sovereign are explored on May 2, just days before his official coronation.
Check out the “King Charles: The Boy Who Walked Alone” trailer:

Robert DeMora, a costume designer with film credits that include Risky Business, The Wanderers and The Birdcage but who made his biggest splash creating dazzling, near-surreal costumes for Bette Midler like her famous sequined mermaid gowns, died Sept. 21 at his home in Upstate New York’s Jeffersonville. He was 85.
The New York Times reports heart failure as the cause of death. His death was first reported two weeks ago by local news in his native Lancaster, Pennsylvania, where he got his start in the 1950s designing his high school plays.
DeMora began his film career with 1976’s Marathon Man starring Dustin Hoffman, following up the next year with The Exorcist II: The Heretic, then American Hot Wax, A Different Story and Winter Kills starring Jeff Bridges. In 1979, he costumed the ’60s-era gangs of The Wanderers, and, a year later, William Friedkin’s controversial gay serial killer drama Cruising. He would...

Kylie Jenner's showing alright ... how hard it is to get her baby bump out in public. Kylie was at her Bff Jordyn Woods' birthday party Sunday night in Malibu. Earlier in the day, Kylie downplayed TMZ's preggo news with a barely-there baby bump pic she posted on Instagram. A different story at night because if our eyes aren't deceiving us ... she's opted for the oversized hoodie to hide the bun in the oven. Seems obvious,...

RoboCop's extensive list of prime directives in his first sequel has one aimed squarely at Orion Pictures...
If you're opening this piece expecting a prolonged defence of RoboCop 2, you're not going to get it (although there's a link down at the bottom where we have a go). We've tried lots of times to really like the film, but it just doesn't hang together, nor does it come anywhere near close to matching the original.
At the time it was being made, Orion Pictures, which was backing the film, was in deep trouble. So much trouble in fact that RoboCop 2 was the film that needed to be a big, big hit to save the studio. It wasn't, and within a couple of years, Orion was no more. Whilst it would put RoboCop 3 into production, it wouldn't be around to release it.
The first RoboCop was relatively off radar, and wasn't...

Diana had lived through a lifetime of violence, abused by her father and then later by her husband. This is what she said led to her problem on "Hoarders." A different story came out, though, when her son, Andrew, arrived to help with the cleanup. He revealed that this had been going on during his childhood as well; a fact that Diana said she simply didn't remember.
The violence and hoarding affected them all. At one point, Diana's husband had held them all at gunpoint, threatening to kill them. Even after she finally divorced him -- he later died -- Diana was haunted by the violence of her past. And so, she simply allowed her house to fill with filth and garbage.
Things got so bad that her daughter spent the last few years of high school sleeping on a recliner amidst the garbage and animal droppings.
Finally being honest with themselves and their mother,...

We know Americans aren't always experts when it comes to Canada, but we expect more from Jeopardy contestants.
On Thursday night's show, none of the competitors were able to identify Canada's Prime Minister Stephen Harper.
The question (or answer if you're picky) was: "At a 2009 black tie gala, Yo-Yo accompanied this prime minister of Canada, who sang 'With a Little Help from My Friends.'"
If you're Canadian, there is little hope you've managed to forget (no matter how hard you've tried) this musical moment. Americans? A different story.
This isn't the only Canadian fail on Jeopardy in recent memory. Watson, the Ibm supercomputer who easily bested champion Ken Jennings, made headlines last year with his final answer on the show.
The category was U.S. cities, but Watson answered "Toronto" to a question on an airport named after a Second World War hero.
This also isn't the first time...

The spring premiere of "The Secret Life of the American Teenager" picked up right where we left off -- the day after the graduation party at Jesse's parents' lake house, which is also the day after Amy and Ricky got engaged, Ben met a new redhead that piqued his interest, Adrian kissed Ricky and slept with Henry, Grace kissed Jack, and Madison slept with Lauren's ex, Jesse. It was an eventful evening.
Questions to ponder:
Is Ben's new girl, Dylan, insane? Maybe. She's a little obsessed with Ben after having known him for less than 24 hours, and she showed up at his house -- which she Googled to even find -- with her friends to find out why he canceled their date. Plus, she lights up a joint in his bedroom with her friends and then lets Ben take the fall for it.
Should Grace and Jack get back together?...

I’m sure many of you are aware from Tambay’s previous Post that the Images of Black Women Film Festival which re-starts (they had the first part of it in early March) tomorrow Friday 8th through April 10th in London, England but you may not have seen this year’s trailer for it (cut by the festival host herself Dami Akinnusi) so here it goes:

Tonight’s Sgu was pretty epic and a bit sad, but what’s sadder is that SyFy’s move from Friday to Tuesday nights hasn’t helped the show in ratings. Hopefully, the network will move the show back to it’s rightful spot during the mid season hiatus. Other than that, let’s get to the recap.
Information Rendezvous
As the crew watches the space in front of them, they wonder what could be fast approaching them and if it will break to avoid collision. Col. Young doesn’t wait for that to happen as he sends Brody to go ready the the weapons to blast the object. Rush recognizes the shape of the object as Ancient and realizes that the ship is just like the Destiny and has to be an Ancient Stargate seeder ship! The only problem? Rush knows this, which perturbs the hell out of Col.

James Cameron is returning to television for the first time since his Dark Angel series back in 2000. According to The Hollywood Reporter, a new TV adaptation of his 1994 hit feature film True Lies has landed at ABC.
Lightstorm Entertainment and 20th Century Fox TV are producing with Rene Echevarria ('Star Trek', The 4400) serving as writer/showrunner and co-executive producer. Cameron will produce the series.
Still, for a network, having the James Cameron name attached to a project that already possesses movie cred is a huge boon. Moreover, Echevarria has already proven his chops on a variety of series, particularly the wonderful, but short-lived Now and Again, which after only one season was canceled by CBS back in 1999.
Now and Again is particularly pertinent to True Lies, since it concerned a man, Michael Wiseman (Eric Close), whose brain was placed in a genetically engineered super body after a tragic subway accident.

Not sure who else out there remembers the cartoon Star Blazers, but as a kid I'd race home after school to watch the show's massive space battles. The property has been kicking around Hollywood for ages to be adapted into a potential live-action movie, but apparently the nostalgia and the cost never lined up, since it still hasn't happened. A different story in its home country, however -- the new trailer (with odd sidebars and pop-up reactions) for Space Battleship Yamato has arrived...

HollywoodNews.com: Yesterday we reported that Tila Tequila had committed to be on VH1’s “Celebrity Rehab,” if the show manages to find enough celebrities to join. It was unclear as to what addiction she is going to battle on the show, but now she has come forward on her website to reveal that she has been addicted to prescription pills.
She wrote to all her fans:
“Hey everyone!
I just wanted to let all of you know that I love my TIla Army Very much, and I was in denial for a long time but it takes a brave and strong woman to not only admit to herself that she has a problem, but also let the whole world know about it. It almost feels like I’m stripped down totally naked and standing in front of a million people. With that said, I Know I am an Extremely smart girl,...
