(S1. E1) My Live Reaction / Review for True Detective Season 1 Episode 1 ''The Long Bright Dark''. Did a serial killer do this to this poor woman? Wow Rust is a real nihilist, at least he sounds like one, its kinda sad, and he looks very sad too. Marty doesn't really understand Rust's worldview, these two are fun together. It seems like Rust doesn't have any friends, he is the loner type. Is Rust an alcoholic? That sucks. Why do they talk on camera about what happened in the past? Im a bit confused. Decent episode to start the season. Overall fantastic performances by the actors and decent plot. This episode was good and I enjoyed it. My rating is 8/10.
