The Machine instructs Reese and Root to escape from the Decima's men, and Reese discloses to Shaw what The Machine does. Root and Finch are heading to look for The Machine whereabouts while Reese and Shaw go to the library to look for its location. They find a hidden safe with several information, including Jessica's photo, and a map with three possible locations of The Machine. Meanwhile Carter is interrogated by the Internal Affairs and during a break, Terney comes to the interrogation room and threatens to kill her son and her the same way he did with Beecher. Carter pair with his phone and hears that Terney intends to kill Elias. She calls Reese to tell him that Elias is in danger, but he cannot help him in that moment. Carter uses a mask and saves Elias, killing the Russians and hitting Terney. Root and Finch find a man named Lawrence, but he is shot by a sniper in the Central Park before telling the location of The Machine. Shaw finds some documents in his briefcase and they hijack an helicopter to travel to the hideout of The Machine in Washington. They arrive at the location, together with Root and Finch, and Hersh, the General Counsel and their men. The showdown is about to start. Meanwhile, the viewer sees how Nathan died and Finch became limping and decided to help irrelevant people in 2010.
"God Mode" is a great episode of "Person of Interest" that could be better and better. First, why Carter did not kill Terney, since she knows he is a dirty cop from the HR that killed Beecher? Then, why Reese or Shaw did not kill Root, who showed several times that she is a cold blood killer? The rest is a full of action episode with Sam Shaw helping Reese. My vote is nine.
