Bouncing around ancient times, once again here's Hercules!
20 January 2024
Warning: Spoilers
Having seen Hercules movies set centuries before the birth of Jesus Christ and centuries later, I wonder what his method of time travel was. If not galavanting around with Sampson nearly 1000 years before the foundation of the Roman Empire, he's there long past the Claudian dynasty arriving after the assassination of a brief emperor named Gordiano.

But the interesting thing is no matter what era, the fashions are the same, tools of war as well, and for Alan Steel, his dark hair and beard makes him similar in appearance to Steve Reeves, Kirk Morris and a few others. The historical references are interesting, if not accurate, and the production design successfully manages to put up a front. The presence of several possibly gay servants and court members is an interesting element.
