Did I watch it in 2023? Yes. Because after reading the books decades ago, I now listened to the audiobooks and thought, against better judgement, why not?
After realizing they threw 2 books together (The Vampire Lestat and Queen of the damned), they left so much out of the story it is an incoherent mess of strung together scenes that makes no sense, 30min into the movie they throw the books out and make up everything that happens.... I was watching this with my mouth open feeling like I was watching the a homemade student vampire movie. From Interview with a vampire to this?? No wonder An Rice left the project. They made a mockery of her work.
