As an unfortunate gambler I was glad to see a little bit of casino action in this one, although the idea of winning the kind of big bet Mike November did at a blackjack table is the kind of fantasy that should not even exist in a fictional world.
But they still struggled to piece together a weak story and leaned into just about every action movie trope you can imagine from the father getting shot and having to say goodbye to his daughter, to a woman in power who is about as one dimensional as can be.
We will see if the next episode at least is able to end the show on a positive note, but I doubt it.
