Glad to have Jack Ryan back on our TV screens, a show that is unapologetic in its tone of trying to recreate nonsensical 80's action film stuff.
But can we get a break from the Russia/Ukraine stuff anywhere? There are lot of other countries that could be at the forefront of a show like this so why does it always have to be Russia?
Not a bad season premiere, but I worry the story will get way too convoluted way too quickly. This is one of Amazon's signature shows though and feels the void that Homeland left behind when it wrapped up. Just hope for some original storytelling in the coming episodes.
