What a perfect finish to a fun season.

Warning: Spoilers
I enjoyed the entire season because it was funny and so different from the typical Marvel movie. Unlike action driven shows you really need to pay attention to what is actually said in this show. But the finale pulled out all the stops. Complaints all season long were often about the lack of superhero action and/or courtroom drama. It was billed as comedy from the day it was announced, not an action or drama series. It doesn't mean action or drama won't be part of it, but as a comedy it's not going to be the focus. But there also seems to be this notion if she's a lawyer why aren't there more episodes in court? I answer that question with this question- How often was lawyer Matt Murdoch in court compared to his office? Being in the office is still being a lawyer at work. Meeting with a client anywhere is also doing your job as a lawyer. Even hanging out in the lawyer bar, much like a cop bar, is a reflection of her job. The show isn't a courtroom drama it's simply about a lawyer who has superpowers. She said "lawyer show" in episode one, not "courtroom show". Again, pay attention to what is actually said and don't make assumptions. We also saw both Pug and Mallory being lawyers in and out of court - lawyer show.

The entire season was a reluctant hero storyline bucking the typical hero/villian plotline that ends with a big action finish. But despite the reluctant hero storyline they still inserted the blood subplot, setting up the typical hero/villian action finish. Leading to Jen saying in this episode, "This doesn't feel right. This isn't a reluctant superhero story, I'm just getting screwed over". Pointing out the deviance from the season long main storyline. But it still proceeds towards the big confrontation and then Jen completely pulls the rug out from under it. Jen not only breaks the fourth wall when she's had enough, she jumps frame as she did in the comics. Confronts the writers, as she did in the comics, with one even stating, "Ok, there are certain things that are supposed to happen in a superhero story". Unsatisfied with the writers she then confronts Kevin Feige who is portrayed as a formula driven robot. A truly hilarious conversation pointing out all the cliches.

In Jen's final scene the season long reluctant hero story, that started as an either/or with Bruce saying she's now a superhero and Jen saying no I'm still just a lawyer, is fully completed when a reporter asks if she going after bad guys as a lawyer or superhero and she responds "both".

This series isn't 1 star in any single area let alone overall. It simply shows how childish some are about not getting what they want - everything MCU needs to be the same thing over and over again. Then there are those that their political, or ideology view, completely taints their opinion of the shows quality. The acting is very good (particularly Tatiana Maslany), the story (both the episodic comedy and overall season) was great and a real change from the typical Marvel, and the CGI (although not big budget blockbuster level) certainly isn't a 1 on a 1 to 10 scale. I didn't find the CGI a distraction at all so it has to be at least above average.
