Unexpectedly this episode had me in tears at the ending! Even though it's only early on into season 3 I already feel a strong sense of attachment to the characters and their town of Cicely, Alaska. I felt so proud of Ed, as if I was one of the audience members shedding a tear alongside Maggie as I reflected on Cicely life.
Ed is an adorable character and I love episodes where he gets to shine.
Balancing humour with genuine sentiment is something this show does so well.
Some Great comedic moments here with Maggie and the dog. I especially enjoyed the sequence where he starts actually vocalising as Rick.
Very cute dog by the way. Working with animals can be risky but I think they really pulled it off here.
