Review of Gimme Shelter

Gimme Shelter (1970)
5/10
Not a Great Documentary
24 April 2021
It was certainly a memorable event in American history. The Altamonte tragedy was of interest to me, so I was looking forward to getting "Gimme Shelter" on a streaming service.

It was interesting enough, but as a well-crafted documentary, it falls short. In particular the editing did not make a good use of viewer's time.

While this is no slight on the documentarians, I was shocked at how awful MIck Jagger was as a live singer. He couldn't stay in key to save his life. He isn't that bad on the studio recordings.
