No reason to tune in
21 August 2019
Warning: Spoilers
TURBULENCE 3 is thankfully the last of the cheesy trilogy, and with a subtitle like HEAVY METAL you know exactly where it's going to go. The whole thing plays out as the least believable thriller ever, with a rock concert on a plane (?!) interrupted by a Satanist extremist (!) bent on hijacking and murder. It's ridiculous stuff for sure, not helped in the slightest by rock-bottom production values and hideous overacting. It's also one of those films tackling the new-fangled Internet phenomenon, one which thinks repetitive scenes of people sitting around on computers is exciting (clue: it isn't). There are a few half-hearted action scenes and Rutger Hauer riffing on his famous BLADE RUNNER speech, but that's no reason to tune in.
