Terrific and profound
11 December 2018
Probably one of the more enlightening and profound films I've seen in quite a while. The film revolves around a conversation had over dinner between two playwrights with a rather different outlook on meaninglessness and the absurdity of the day to day. In an almost uncanny way the film predicts our furthered obsession with comforts and rejection of science, it's really fascinating at how much it accurately predicts about the way we "live" in the 21st century. If I had any complaints I think the editing and cinematography gets a bit monotonous after a while, I broke up my viewing into two sittings. Quite a lot of thought provoking and meaningful ideas here that are far too numerous to get into without seeing it for yourself.
