A brilliant show, the concept at the heart of the plot is a brilliant mash of past and present as well and the two cultures that come with it. Greatly written episode exclusive stories and moments of high skill in delivery of true horror and even hilarious comedy Life on Mars manages to juggle every ongoing ball they hold anchored by the fantastic performances. After having time to reflect upon the seemingly disappointing finale I can now see that it's fitting and that maybe the spin off series stil holds the charm and quality of the original. Accompanied with a fantastic soundtrack and an ongoing constant twist or subplot it's a shame that the present time and its story is neglected, that being the only major issue with the series. Hilarious, fun, action packed and at time shocking or even heartfelt it's a truly gripping show which I can't speak highly enough of
