In the second part of "Bargaining", Buffy is back from the dead and must dig her way out of her coffin. The demon biker gang runs amuck in Sunnyvale and destroys the Buffy-bot. The gang must escape, reunite with Spike & Dawn. But everyone gets separated and it becomes clear that the Buffy that returns is not the same Buffy that she was before. She seems lost, confused, sedated. Can she still help her friends and stop the demon bikers from looting the town?
Buffy in this episode reminds me a lot of that time she turned into a cavewoman and only wanted to drink beer. I wasn't sure if that last scene is her snapping out of it or if it was just a moment of clarity for her in the place where she perished. I guess I'll find out next episode.
The scene involving Buffybot and Dawn was a good one. Trachtenberg is a bit of an underrated actress on this show. Most of the cast does a solid job in this one (I'm sorry but Hannigan has one gear, I wish she was a better actress). Besides her, all performed admirably. We've yet to see much evidence of what this season will be about but, now that Buffy's back, maybe this will become more clear.
