Upswept Hare (1953)
7/10
Much of America is whining Today that the Eponymous Warner Bros. Prophets failed to Warn them . . .
9 December 2017
Warning: Spoilers
. . . about the Scourge of the Pedophiliac Repug Party, U.S. Senator-Elect Roy "The Banging Judge" Moore triumphing over beloved LOVE BUG actor Jones in Alabama's Special Election, with Moore pledging to "Make America Great Again" by bringing back Racist Black Slavery. Yet, ever BEFORE LeBron has any feet chopped off and with Oprah YET to be stripped and flogged at the Whipping Post, Warner's Crack Team of Animated Shorts Seers (aka, The Looney Tuners) actually DID alert the USA of Moore's threat to We Americans of (The Then) Far Future with UPSWEPT HARE (among other prescient titles). Warner casts Elmer Fudd, of course, to represent Fat Cat Billionaire Repug Party Tool Moore, planting him atop a Rump Tower Penthouse (from which he will commute to fulfill his Deplorable Washington, DC, High Treason Felonies, just like Rump himself). Elmer wears a Red beret, to denote that he's just another tool of Red Commie KGB Chief Vlad "The Mad Russian" Putin, out to destroy America by Any Means Necessary. Before meeting his Doom, Fudd\Moore gets off more rounds than Repug Machine-Gun Party Poster Boy Steve Paddock did recently in Las Vegas. But then the wily Bugs, representing We True Blue Loyal Patriotic Normal Average 99 Per Center Silent Majority Progressive Union Label Citizens, suggests redistributing Fudd's (or, by implication, ALL of the Billionaire Oligarch's) Ill-gotten Wealth on the basis of useful skill sets (that is, transforming the USA into a Meritocracy). Bugs, of course, then runs circles around Fudd\Moore, before tricking him into a Death Dive off the top of Rump Tower to close out UPSWEPT HARE (all to the tune of Rump's Theme Song, "Lullaby of Broadway," a Busby Berkeley-choreographed ballad from a live-action Warner Bros. musical that also forecasts the ultimate Doom of Rump, Moore, and all the rest of their Fellow-Traveling Fifth Columnist Quisling Traitor Henchpeople!).
