This episode is a cliché of the three 1970s TV series : Columbo, MacGyver, and Hawaii Five O. In season 12 of Hawaii Five O, gone are the staples of the series that made it great and memorable. No Danno, No Chin Chin Ho Kelly, none of the original actors remain in season 12 except for Duke Lukela. In one part about twenty minutes into the episode, Steve McGarrett utters that famous Columbo phrase "Just one more thing..." And the antagonist Lisa played by Tricia O'Neil performs several MacGyver- style tricks. These clichés alone make the episode worth watching just to see the collision between the three TV series' phileoas. The original Hawaii Five O series was a lot like Dallas Cowboys coach Tom Landry : need to know when its time to retire. It was a great run and absolutely stellar performances in the first ten seasons. The reviewers agree on this : the writers ran amok and drove the show into the ground in the last two seasons, especially when the producers did not retain the complete original cast throughout. William Smith was no James MacArthur.
