A tie-in with LAUGH-IN, though without Rowan and Martin
21 October 2016
"The Biggest Star in Hollywood" is the episode where the creators of Rowan and Martin's LAUGH-IN wanted Barbara Eden to appear on their show, walking down the stairs with a spotlight on her navel (even without the two hosts, we still get to see Judy Carne, Arte Johnson, Gary Owens, and producer George Schlatter). With Tony leaving for a week in Hollywood on Air Force business, sharing a room with Dr. Bellows, he forbids Jeannie to tag along, bidding goodbye to her in a salon mirror where she is spotted by Owens and Schlatter. She's convinced that stardom will be hers and agrees to do LAUGH-IN at their request, with some prodding from publicity hungry Roger, acting as Jeannie's agent, renaming her 'Princess Armena.' While Dr. Bellows tries sight seeing, Tony recognizes Jeannie and tries to put a stop to Roger's scheme. There's a great deal of running around in the hotel, but the LAUGH-IN performers get very little to do. No, Jeannie didn't do the show after all, while Judy Carne had already done a first season episode, "Is There an Extra Jeannie in the House?"
