Warning: Spoilers
The episode says Long John Peter, the poster suggested a likely story of an epic half hour of Peter being a pirate, and he does become one. However... here's the problem. Peter (AKA Long John Peter) and his men harassed his wife, attacked Mort's Pharmacy, pillaged a British vehicle, and that's it. Out of the 22 minutes of the episode, only FOUR minutes were focused on pirate actions. I was certain that the parrot would die at the end of the episode, not in the middle, which is why I've given this one a hard time ever since. A mere cadre of scenes of pirate action don't compromise for how pathetic the work was here - the majority of the episode is spent on CHRIS AND ANNA. I am not kidding. And as another insult to injury, they bring in a long filler joke, one of the first of many where a character does something for a long time. Already considering that they've done the whole relationship dating thing to death already, they didn't hesitate to include it. I did not care about a stupid teenage relationship, I wanted to see classic Family Guy action, and there was as much as snow in New Orleans in this one. Perhaps some of the blame could've been shed on the writers' strike of 2007-2008, but in my eyes, absolutely not. They didn't try with this one. They only just wanted to snare viewers into watching an episode of a teenager breakup.
