This episode opens in Mauritania where Zac Preston, a western aid worker, is teaching the local children. They are short of food as the local warlord is stealing much of the food aid sent to the area. He has arranged to get the food back but this puts him firmly in the sights of the warlord. He manages to flee with the children but he is still deep in hostile territory. His father, a wealthy businessman, employs Frank and Cat to go to Africa and rescue his son. It won't be easy though; most of the locals seem to be in the pocket of the warlord and Zac refuses to leave the children behind; this means they must race to the border in a clapped out bus as the warlord closes in on them.
This was an exciting episode; the North African location adds to the tension as it feels as if danger could come from any location as we have no way of knowing the loyalties of anybody we see. Having Cat along for the mission was good as there is a good chemistry between the characters; Chris Vance and Violante Placido do well in the roles. Their mission provides plenty of excitement as they get involved in fights, get shot at and drive a bus through a minefield; all this leads to a thrilling ending at the Moroccan border. The rest of the cast does a solid job too; making us believe in their various characters. Inevitably there are some far-fetched moments but that doesn't spoil the story; it is to be expected. Overall a thrilling episode with plenty of action and a decent story.
