Farscape: Promises (2002)
Season 4, Episode 5
8/10
All together again
11 September 2012
Warning: Spoilers
As this episode opens the crew sets eyes on Moya for the first time since the end of the third series and there are two surprises waiting for them on board... Aeryn is aboard, and so is Scorpius! Aeryn makes them swear not to kill Scorpius, saying that he is keeping her alive after she started suffering from heat delirium. John finds it hard not to kill him but gives his word. We later learn that Aeryn was deliberately infected by the Lukythians because she was one of a number of assassins who killed their leader. One of them, named Ullom, says that he can save Aeryn but he will only do that if she tells him who hired her; something she refuses to do. Ullom's ship appears to be much larger than Moya and they can't get away from it so they will have to find a way of getting aboard it and defeating him in person if they are to escape. Ullom isn't the only danger; the Peacekeepers have found Moya and have a new weapon that can lock on to a Leviathan's life signs and destroy it; it can even track a leviathan through starburst.

It was great to see the crew all together again on Moya, where they belong and it was quite a surprise to see Scorpius alive and well... clearly he is too good a character to kill! The story with Ullom wasn't the best, I suppose that is why there was the secondary story involving the new prototype Peacekeeper weapon... personally I found this more interesting as Grayza and Braca are better than one off villains. That said I was intrigued by the idea that Aeryn had worked as an assassin while away from Moya. Bringing Scorpius aboard Moya was an interesting move that will no doubt change the crew dynamic in upcoming episodes; especially since he claims to know where Earth is!
