This movie never had a dull moment. Paul Muni has done it again, mastered another character with his raw talent and emotion. But this movie had many great actors/actresses. My Favorite character in this movie was Angelo played by Vince Barnatt. He added some comedy to the mob mentality. And my second favorite charter Poppy (Toni's girl)was played by the lovely Karen Morely. Ann Dvorak played Toni Camonte's sister Cesca. Her big gorgeous eyes could draw in any man but not under Toni's watch. And then there is the handsome George Raft who played Guino Rinaldo Toni's partner in crime. My favorite part was when the restaurant was getting shot up by O'Hara's mob (?)and Angelo was on the phone trying to get the name of the person on the phone, all the while being shot at left and right. I also thought the part where the calendar days were shot away towards the begging on the movie was a nice touch.
