Willow and Tara have broken up, willow is upset, and finally figures out how to turn back Amy. The trio break into a museum and steel a diamond and freezes the guard. Tara and Dawn spend the day together. The gang researching what happened at the museum get into how willow is using too much magic. Buffy and Spike have a few confrontations in this episode, he wants to talk about them making-out she doesn't, she just wants to forget about it. during one of these confrontations he hits her and realizes that his head is all cleared up, the chip didn't go off. Assuming that it's stopped working he goes of and tries to attack a human, after cornering the girl he rambles for a bit trying to get himself to do it (this scene, Spike a few seasons ago would have been deeply ashamed of himself)he than goes in for the kill and the chip goes of. He goes to the trio to get things checked out and finds out that there is nothing wrong with him but something wrong with Buffy. Buffy later collides with Spike, in more than one way, Spike tells her the news and they start fighting, sort of. they soon start kissing and things move forward from there.
I love the love scene at the end between Buffy and Spike. They may have their differences but in that scene when they pull away from kissing and look at each other, I love that moment. In that one look they confirm with each other that they are going to do more than just kiss and they both despite all their differences share looks of fear and shock over what they are about to do.
