Doida Demais (1989)
4/10
A Waste of Two Excellent Actors and the Beauty of Vera Fischer
16 April 2005
In Rio de Janeiro, the forger Letícia (Vera Fischer), her lover Noé (José Wilker) and a dealer cheat a powerful collector with some fake paints. When the fraudulent scheme is exposed, she escapes with a new lover, the pilot Gabriel (Paulo Betti), to the country of Bahia, chased by her former lover. "Doida Demais" is a very deceptive movie, with a very weak plot and a ridiculous open end. The good points are the beautiful photography, showing wonderful landscapes and the sunset in the interior of Bahia, the presence of José Wilker and Paulo Betti, two of the best Brazilian actors, and the beauty of Vera Fischer, certainly one of the most beautiful Brazilian women and in the summit of her shape, in very sexy situations. Unfortunately these elements are not enough to support this flick. My vote is four.
