Yes, this is not a classic. And Jason Patric was not up to the task of headlining a major movie -- or, perhaps, any movie. His next big role was in The Alamo -- nothing more needs saying. Nonetheless, the first half of the story was pretty good. And the music was quite good too. Willem Dafoe as the villain was terrific, although hopefully there were some special effects involved with the leeches. But the key to this movie is Sandra Bullock. As far as I'm concerned, a movie of her reading the phone book would be at least a 4. With her, it was watchable, and parts of it were quite entertaining. However, if you are not a big fan of her's, then you might want to find a different way to invest 2 hours.
