A gem of Christmas parody, or something, huh-huh-huh-huh-huh
23 August 2003
The Beavis and Butt-Head Christmas special is in it's complete form here on DVD (except for two letters read by "Santa" Butt-head that appeared on TV but not here), and it's such an uproarious joy to revisit it time and time again, whatever the season may be. In it, our dear-old bung-holes Beavis and Butt-Head are thrown into two parodies, a little commentary by the yule-log, and read real letters as Butt-head's a Santa Claus and Beavis is the unfortunate reindeer. Highlights- Beavis' take on what the future will look like; the music videos of RUN-DMC and the Ramones (the only other release on tape that has music videos is Hard Cash); McVicker's family sequence; Charlie, the guardian angel, giving Butt-head a tour of life without him. A must-have for fanatics of the boys from Highland- it's also available now along with the Butt-o-ween special from Time-Life (though I'm not sure if that includes the music videos or not). A+
