This movie had everything in it! I was so annoyed when I found out the 2004 remake wasn't anything like this movie! I loved what Ira Levin and the makers of this movie were saying. The movie was so truthful about a mother's hold on life and her hopes and dreams, and of her friendships...I really wish this movie could have been explored more with different endings and takes on it, but I really loved this movie!
The casting in this film was great! The actors and actresses stood truthful to their roles, Joanna and Walter Eberhart really seemed like a true couple, and everyone that Joanna met in this town called Stepford really acted unrealistic (which was good) - Everyone that Walter met seemed too dominant (they were power-hungry men) - So I really loved how every woman and man they met had been changed.
