Two actors who played Sherlock Holmes on television, Jonny Lee Miller and Benedict Cumberbatch, have both appeared in a stage production of Mary Shelley’s Frankenstein. Directed by Academy Award®-winner Danny Boyle, the production featured Jonny Lee Miller and Benedict Cumberbatch alternating between the roles of Victor Frankenstein and his Creature. The stage production (National Theatre Live: Frankenstein (2011)) has lived on in theatrical screenings ever since.
