Elden Ring is a popular video game released in 2022 with worldbuilding from Game of Thrones creator George R.R. Martin.
Alex Garland is set to write and direct the upcoming film for A24. He’s best known for films like Ex Machina, Civil War, and the recent film Warfare. He also wrote 28 Days Later and the upcoming sequels.
Deadline reports the video game is “set in an authentic dark fantasy world, which allows players to head off on adventures within vast environments and dungeons.”
