Chris Hemsworth is to put his huge guns to work outside of the Marvel universe to take on the role of wrestling legend Hulk Hogan in Todd Phillips biopic for Netflix.
The team behind ‘The Joker’ of Phillips and Scott Silver have reunited with Phillips taking the helm on the project co-written by Silver and John Pollono. Hemsworth will also produce alongside Eric Bischoff, Michael Sugar, Phillips and Bradley Cooper. Hogan aka Terry Gene Bollea will act as a consultant on the movie.
At 65, Hogan has had a few dramas plaguing his personal life but the film is said to omit that part of his story and concentrate on his rise to fame in the ring, going as far back as 1977. The project is being described as an origin story of the Hulkster and Hulkamania.
