Linda Hamilton is reprising her role as iconic character Sarah Connor in the upcoming 'Terminator' sequel and the first official photo has been released.
The image shows Hamilton as the battle-hardened character who fought the machines in 1984's 'The Terminator,' 1991's 'Terminator 2,' and 1996 theme park ride 'T2 3-D: Battle Across Time.'
Not involved with the subsequent sequels, Hamilton is back for the 'Untitled Terminator Reboot,' which will see original director James Cameron return as producer. 'Deadpool' director Tim Miller will helm the sixth movie in the franchise.
In the film, now in production, Arnold Schwarzenegger will continue his streak of appearing in every installment of the killer robot series. But the new photo also provides our first look at two more characters.
Natalia Reyes is shown as Dani Ramos, who's understood to be the film’s lead. She plays a young woman in Mexico City who gets caught in the war when the machines rise.
Also shown is Mackenzie Davis, who is no stranger to science fiction, having appeared in 'Blade Runner 2049,' 'The Martian,' and an Emmy Award-winning episode of "Black Mirror," titled "San Junipero."
Little is known of Davis' character, but it was revealed today that she is simply known as Grace. A series of marks on her arms and upper body suggest the character may have some secrets below the surface.
We'll have to wait more than a year to find out the answers. The movie is due for release Nov. 22, 2019.
