After sitting out last year’s Emmys, “Game of Thrones” is back this year with another shot for Peter Dinklage to enter the Emmy record books. The two-time champ is gunning for his third Best Drama Supporting Actor trophy, which would tie him with Aaron Paul (“Breaking Bad,” 2010, 2012, 2014) as the category’s only three-time winners.
Dinklage, who won in 2011 (when “Breaking Bad” was ineligible) and 2015, is currently in second place in our combined odds behind David Harbour (“Stranger Things”). Since Dinklage was Mia last year, the pair have never faced off at the Emmys, but Harbour beat Dinklage at Critics’ Choice and both were nominated at SAG.

One thing that might help Dinklage this year is his co-star Kit Harington going lead. Harington was nominated two years ago in supporting alongside Dinklage, but Ben Mendelsohn (“Bloodline”) pulled off a major upset.
