Filming Underway On New Alan Partridge BBC Series
Filming is underway on new Alan Partridge mockumentary And Did Those Feet. Deadline revealed the BBC series several months back and cameras have rolled on the latest Steve Coogan conception. The mockumentary follows the beloved comedy creation settling into life back in his Norfolk home after a year working in Saudi Arabia, but the adjustment has left him with a deep sense of unease. Over six episodes he will unpack what is missing in his life, explore why the nation is in such a funk and find out what it might take to keep a person funk-free. “This look into the state of the nation (and Alan’s own psyche) through a unique lens – that of Alan Partridge – promises to further bolster the already iconic repertoire of the most legendary comedy character in the UK,” said BBC comedy boss Jon Petrie. The Deadly Swarm is a great example of the downside to having a long run of good films to review. Because while you’re watching them, you know karma is going to send a real pile of shit to balance the score. And that’s certainly an apt description of this killer fly movie.
Dr. Holger Feldman is ecstatic, he’s managed to get a specimen of the rare vampire fly, and not just any specimen, this is a queen. His son Liam however is more concerned with how dangerous that fly is, apparently they wiped out the dinosaurs, not a meteor, than whether or not it could lead to a cure for the disease that killed his mother, and will kill him.

Dakota has had enough of her toxic relationship with Axel, but the feeling isn’t mutual. As she tries to end things, Axel becomes something different, something monstrous. He gradually succumbs to the poison of the decaying relationship, becoming a creature with increased aggression, a touch that melts skin and, worst of all, he’s contagious.
Brit horror Kill Your Lover is, at its core, a heavy-handed allegory/visual metaphor for a toxic relationship and a hard break up; all wrapped up in what is a grisly body horror which helps cover what is essentially a short story, spun out to feature length by drawn out fights between the warring couple.

A new slasher is heading our way next month, Punch, featuring a horror villain that borrows from historical puppet show Punch and Judy. A brand new trailer gives a closer look at the Mr. Punch styled killer.
Punch slashes its way onto Digital and VOD on January 16, 2024.
In the film, “Before heading back to university, Frankie craves one final night out in her coastal hometown, but sinister local legend Mr. Punch is on the prowl, and chaos ensues as Frankie and her friends fight for survival in this eerie slasher.”
Watch the trailer below to see Mr. Punch begin his prowl.
Andy Edwards (Midnight Peepshow) wrote and directed the feature.
Kierston Wareing, May Kelly, Dani Thompson, Jamie Lomas, and Mark Sears star in the upcoming horror movie.
The Mr. Punch character and his wife Judy have been around for centuries, with the Punch and Judy puppet show centering around slapstick humor and violence.

I was a big fan of 2021’s Medusa, aka Medusa: Queen of Serpents, mainly down to the brilliant performance from Megan Purvis in the lead role of Carly and Sarah T.Cohen as her friend… and the fact the film was unlike anything producer Scott Jeffrey had been involved with at the time. For Medusa was a topical drama, wrapped up in the skin (pun intended) of a horror film; like the best of the genre the film was much more than skin deep (pun intended again), offering a layered tale about how women are treated in society. The film was all the more remarkable as it felt like one of the smallest productions Jeffrey and co. had put together.

What’s that? Sarah T. Cohen, Amber Doig-Thorne And May Kelly all starring together in another Scott Jeffrey production? Colour me intrigued… This trio are three of the best performers Jeffrey has “discovered” over the years and they’re all together in one film. Ok, Ok, so it’s a film written by Craig McLearie, who hasn’t exactly captured the magic of 2021’s Jagged Edge/Proportion Productions era with his scripts, but one can but hope right?
Let’s get this out of the way first, Alien Invasion is Such an on-the-nose title. Like seriously, you couldn’t have come up with something a little more subtle? But then when your production company has made films with titles like Snake Hotel...

In the blissful infancy of YouTube back in 2006, one of the medium's earliest viral sensations was a video called "Scary Mary." YouTube creator Christopher Rule edited his own trailer for "Mary Poppins," Disney's 1964 musical classic. Instead of depicting the movie's family-friendly fantasy, though, Rule cut "Scary Mary" as a horror film. The result was surprisingly convincing, and posited an intriguing, funny, and somewhat disturbing thesis: With a change in perspective, beloved fictional characters can instantly switch from kind to creepy.
The team behind "Winnie-the-Pooh: Blood and Honey" — a real movie in the Year of Our Lord, 2023 — embraced this spirit to imagine the universally adored Pooh Bear of literature and film as a serial killer. The film's violent conclusion leaves its story open-ended, and its filmmakers are just getting started building a children's-character-turned-slasher cinematic universe straight out of a fever dream.

Tyler-James stays busy – so busy, it seems like the saying “Another week, another Tyler-James project” might soon be accurate. We’ve heard about multiple Tyler-James movies recently, as the filmmaker has produced the films that turn the popular nursery rhymes Mary Had a Little Lamb and Three Blind Mice into horror stories, and directed both The Loch Ness Horror and Monsternado. Also directed by Tyler-James is the upcoming ITN Distribution release Sky Monster, and a trailer for the film can be seen in the embed above. We don’t yet know exactly when Sky Monster is going to be released, but take a look at the trailer and find out if this looks like something you’d want to watch.

Just earlier today, we shared a trailer for the nursery rhyme turned horror film Mary Had a Little Lamb, which is another entry in a trend that’s currently set to flood the marketplace, the trend of turning children’s stories into horror projects. There’s Winnie the Pooh: Blood and Honey and its upcoming sequel, Bambi: The Reckoning, Peter Pan: Neverland Nightmare, Cinderella’s Curse, Cinderella’s Revenge, Sleeping Beauty’s Massacre, Goldilocks and the Three Bears: Death and Porridge, The Mean One, Belle… Even Jack & Jill and Humpty Dumpty have their own horror movies! Now being added into the mix is Three Blind Mice, another nursery rhyme turned horror film. This one will be receiving a DVD and Digital release from Uncork’d Entertainment on October 17th, and the trailer for the film can be seen in the embed above.

Winnie the Pooh (Winnie the Pooh: Blood and Honey and its upcoming sequel), Bambi and Peter Pan (Bambi: The Reckoning and Peter Pan: Neverland Nightmare), Cinderella and Sleeping Beauty, Goldilocks (Goldilocks and the Three Bears: Death and Porridge), The Grinch (The Mean One)… if a character was featured in a children’s story or a nursery rhyme, chances are they’re going find themselves dropped into a horror movie these days. The latest in this line-up of fractured fairy tales is a horror movie about Mary and her little lamb, from the Mary Had a Little Lamb nursery rhyme. Infusing horror into what has usually been a comforting nursery rhyme for nearly 200 years, the official trailer for Mary Had a Little Lamb introduces viewers to a sheep-disguised killer whose "fleece was red as blood" instead of "white as snow."
Directed by Jason Arber, Mary Had a Little Lamb will be released on Digital and DVD on October 3rd, and you can get an idea of what to expect in the official trailer below:
A radio host and her crew set out to discover the truth behind some disappearances for a true crime show. They will soon learn that there is far more to discover when they meet Mary and her lamb. Who will make it out alive of this house of horrors?

"Something doesn't feel right here." "Exactly – something is off...!" Uncork'd Entertainment has unveiled a trailer for a wacky indie horror film titled Mary Had A Little Lamb, from filmmaker Jason Arber. I guess they're really digging at the bottom of the barrel finding anything to adapt and turn into films nowadays. This looks as schlocky and as dumb fun as The Asylum movies. "We can't wait to hear what audiences this of this super fun horror film." A horror reimagining of the famous tale... Mary Had A Little Lamb. A radio host and her crew set out to discover the truth behind some disappearances for a true crime show. Starring May Kelly, Danielle Scott, and Christine Ann Nyland. If you think this might be entertaining, might as well check it out. Otherwise stay away and watch Lamb instead - not much of anything worthwhile to catch here. // Continue Reading ›...

“Mary Had a Little Lamb” is the latest piece of media from your childhood to be turned into a horror film no one asked for. Check out the trailer for the project below.
Directed by visual effects artist and animator Jason Arber, Mary Had a Little Lamb is centered on true crime podcast host Carla, who drags her team to the woods to investigate a missing persons case. On their journey, the group discovers a mysterious house owned by Mary, who takes them in. May Kelly, Danielle Scott, and Christine Ann Nyland star in the slasher, which will be released digitally and on DVD on October 3rd. The flick comes from Uncork’d Entertainment, the studio behind a slew of campy horror films made for Video on Demand.

Director Rhys Frake-Waterfield’s movie Winnie the Pooh: Blood and Honey was given a nine day theatrical release in the US back in February, and now it has received a digital release! Winnie the Pooh: Blood and Honey is available for rent or purchase on Amazon’s Prime Video at This Link.
A.A. Milne’s 1926 children’s book Winnie-the-Pooh and the characters in it lapsed into the public domain at the start of last year, and that’s how Frake-Waterfield was able to make this movie happen, no permission required. The filmmaker explained to Variety that Pooh and Piglet (go) on a rampage after being abandoned by a college-bound Christopher Robin. “Christopher Robin is pulled away from them, and he’s not [given] them food, it’s made Pooh and Piglet’s life quite difficult. Because they’ve had to fend for themselves so much, they’ve essentially become feral. So...

Rhys Frake-Waterfield is plotting a horror cinematic universe based on beloved children’s story characters that are in the public domain. He was the director of the recently released Winnie-the-Pooh horror movie Winnie the Pooh: Blood and Honey (read our review Here), and he’s in development on movies like Bambi: The Reckoning and Peter Pan: Neverland Nightmare. Since these characters are public domain, he doesn’t have to ask anyone’s permission to put a horrific twist on their stories. But if copyright wasn’t an issue, Frake-Waterfield would also like to make horror movies featuring characters like the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles and the Teletubbies.
Speaking with Collider, Frake-Waterfield said, “I’ve really been excited by Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles lately because I think the story has a very kind of horrifying undertone anyway because it’s these half-human, half-turtles who live in the sewer who have a rat king who they follow,...

It seems like we’ve been hearing about Winnie the Pooh: Blood and Honey forever. And now it’s here, the latest attempt to turn childhood favourites like The Banana Splits, The Grinch, and even Heidi into blood-soaked nightmares. And with Pooh being far and away the most popular it’s also been the most hyped and anticipated, even the fact Scott Jeffrey was producing it couldn’t keep me from wanting to see it. And now it’s here and all I can say is “Oh bother!”

On January 1, 2022, A.A. Milne's gentle 1926 children's novel "Winnie-the-Pooh" finally entered the public domain. Previously, Disney owned the rights to the character, having owned them since 1966, and for many, Disney's rendition of the little stuffed teddy bear had become the character's pop culture standard. Few characters in children's literature are as gentle and as guileless as Winnie-the-Pooh, and Disney's version merely amped up the saccharine sweetness. Milne's conceit is that Pooh and his stuffed animal compatriots may be imagined by their owner, a 6-year-old British boy named Christopher Robin, and their conversations are whimsically circular and not terribly deep.
Naturally, when Pooh became the property of the people, the first thing filmmaker Rhys Frake-Waterfield wanted to do was to make an ultra-violent horror movie, with everyone favorite silly ol' bear as a bloodthirsty, murderous hillbilly. The resulting film is just as stupid as one might expect.

Director Rhys Frake-Waterfield’s movie Winnie the Pooh: Blood and Honey will be getting a nine day theatrical release though Fathom Events in the US on February 15th – and not only is there already a sequel in the works, but Frake-Waterfield has also confirmed that all of the horror movies he’s making based on public domain characters from children’s stories (including Bambi: The Reckoning and Peter Pan: Neverland Nightmare) exist within the same cinematic universe, which will allow for crossovers down the line!
Speaking with The Hollywood Reporter, Frake-Waterfield said, “The idea is that we’re going to try and imagine they’re all in the same world, so we can have crossovers. People have been messaging saying they really want to see Bambi versus Pooh.“

Director Rhys Frake-Waterfield’s movie Winnie the Pooh: Blood and Honey will be getting a nine day theatrical release though Fathom Events in the US on February 15th – but a couple weeks away from that date, Frake-Waterfield has revealed that he’s already working on a sequel! And while developing the follow-up, he’s drawing inspiration from last year’s indie hit Terrifier 2…
Speaking with SFX Magazine (we send our thanks out to Games Radar for spreading the word), Frake-Waterfield said that he had Halloween, The Texas Chainsaw Massacre, and Wrong Turn on his mind while he was crafting Winnie the Pooh: Blood and Honey. “And as we’re going into the sequel soon, Terrifier 2 is going to be one of my key reference points. I want to make sure I go as big and epic as they went with that. I want to try and push it even more.

That’s followed by the inevitable rewind to a couple of days earlier.
Clara’s Aunt Marie (Julie Stevens; Mega Lightning) invites her and her boyfriend Paul to her place for the holidays. She accepts but for reasons unknown Clara is reluctant to tell her aunt that she dumped Paul for cheating on her. She stops along the way and buys a nutcracker from Dimitri for her aunt. Last Christmas, we heard that Patrick Bergin (EastEnders) had signed on to star in a holiday horror film called Nutcracker, which Rebecca Matthews (The Gardener) was directing from a screenplay by Joe Knetter (Blind) that was based on a story by executive producer Jeff Miller (Once Upon a Time in Deadwood). That movie has now been released through the Tubi streaming service under the even more appealing title Nutcracker Massacre. I will continue to champion Christmas horror probably until the day I die. There’s honestly not much more to it than I love Christmas and I love horror but there is something about a film that mixes the two together nicely. Nicely might not be the word I’d use with The Killing Tree, ridiculously would be much more apt.
Where do I start with The Killing Tree?! Originally known as what I think is a better title, Demonic Christmas Tree. Not dissimilar to the classic Christmas horror B-movie Jack Frost, where a serial killer returns as a snowman, this time, on Christmas Eve, the widow of a murderer who has been executed, casts a spell to resurrect him.
