Casting for the Jan. 1 Actors Fund benefit performance was announced today by production company Seaview.
The musical was created by TikTok members as a collective work that has engaged more than 200 million fans worldwide. The musical numbers – each created by a TikToker, all inspired by the Disney-Pixar 2007 animated film Ratatouille, and has become a viral internet phenomenon in recent months.

For the first time ever, the Top 11 contestants on “American Idol” performed from the comfort of their own homes amid the current Covid-19 pandemic. Each of the artists was sent state-of-the-art equipment that allowed them to sing for America’s vote on Sunday, May 3. Eleven singers remain in the running to win ABC’s American Idol, and with Disney Night fast approaching (Sunday, 8/7c), we have a pretty good idea which contestants’ dreams will come true.
Last Sunday’s episode cut the number of contestants in half, presenting the Top 10 of Season 18. But Katy Perry, Lionel Richie and Luke Bryan felt strongly enough about Makayla Phillips to use their only Judges’ Save of the season to keep her in the competition for at least another week.
