I’m a huge fan of the slasher sub-genre, particularly of slasher movies that were released in the 1980s. I’ve tried to watch as many ’80s slashers as I could get my hands on, but now and then I’ll hear about one that has slipped through the cracks. One I haven’t seen yet is the 1987 film Night Screams – so I’m glad to hear that Vinegar Syndrome are giving the film a 4K Uhd and Blu-ray release. I’m definitely going to be watching this one soon… and if you’re interested in grabbing a copy of Night Screams, you can do so at This Link.
Directed by Allen Plone from a screenplay by Mitch Brian and Dillis L. Hart II, Night Screams has the following synopsis: High school football star David has just won a four-year scholarship to the University of Oklahoma, and – with his parents...

High school sweethearts Eric Matthews and Melody Austin are so in love, but their youthful romance is cut tragically short when Eric apparently dies in a fire that engulfs his family home. Wes Craven’s Classic Original The Hills Have Eyes will be available from Arrow Video on 4K Ultra HD November 9th
The Lucky Ones Died First…
Horror master Wes Craven achieved critical and commercial success with the likes of Scream and A Nightmare on Elm Street – but for many genre fans, the director’s seminal 1977 effort The Hills Have Eyes remains his masterpiece.

Stranded, the family find themselves at the mercy of a group of monstrous cannibals lurking in the surrounding hills. The ’80s Slasher Classic The Prey will be available on Blu-ray October 1st From Arrow Video
It s not human, and it s got an axe! One of the most underrated efforts to hail from the slice-and-dice boom, The Prey at last emerges from the VHS wilderness in a brand new 2K restoration from the recently unearthed original camera negative.
Three young couples set off into the mountains for a weekend of climbing, drinking and lovemaking. But little do they know that they are stumbling into the terrain of a fearsome predator – a wild man, horrifically burned as a child many years ago in a fire which engulfed his gypsy camp and left only him alive. Now he roams the woods in search of his next human prey.
Filmed in 1979-1980 – making it a contemporary, rather than an imitator, of the likes of Friday the 13th – but not released until...

The Movie
A group of six college students are in for the night of their life where they get drunk, get naked, and get mutilated in a beach house for (when else?) Fall Break! Your leading character, Ed, has had a pretty tragic life. As a boy, Ed accidently shot and killed his mother with a rifle while trying to clean it as a surprise for his father’s birthday. Fast forward about 15 years later, Ed is asked by his father to close up his beach house for the winter. “I’ve got a bad feeling about this.” says Ed.
What Ed and his friends don’t know is that Ed’s dad is a homicidal maniac who still holds a grudge against his son. Despite early signs of things that are clearly about to go terribly wrong in this beach house (missing battle axe, picture of a dead body...
