"You have now heard... a wild child came to us." Dark Sky Films has debuted an official trailer for an indie horror film titled Darlin', the feature directorial debut of Scottish actress Pollyanna McIntosh. The film is actually a sequel to the cult horror The Woman (2011), which starred Pollyanna McIntosh as a feral woman. She jumped on board and decide to write & direct the sequel, and star in it, some 8 years later. This one stars Lauryn Canny as another young feral woman found and sent to a Catholic hospital. Once there she undergoes a process of rehabilitation in an attempt to tame her savage behavior. But then her mother shows up to take her home and things get bloody. The cast includes Bryan Batt, Nora-Jane Noone, Cooper Andrews, Eugenie Bondurant, Peyton Wich, and Mackenzie Graham. This looks intensely grungy and grimy and brutal, not sure if it's going to be...

Three of the kids cast in "Goosebumps: Haunted Halloween" are gonna have tons of cash for Halloween this year ... 'cause their checks are pretty fat. Jeremy Ray Taylor, Caleel Harris and Peyton Wich are three of the teenagers who will appear in the sequel -- slated for, of course, an October release. While their salaries are pretty great for their age, not all pay's the same across the board ... this according to the minors contracts obtained by TMZ.

Before Billy came to Hawkins, Troy was perhaps the most feared school bully on Stranger Things. Brought to life by actor Peyton Wich, Troy took part in two of the most memorable scenes from the first season of the Netflix series, including the now-iconic quarry showdown with Eleven. Daily Dead recently had the pleasure of catching up with Wich for our latest Q&A feature, in which he discusses his audition process for Stranger Things, memorable moments acting alongside David Harbour and the young actors in the first season, and working with Brendan Gleeson on the Stephen King adaptation Mr. Mercedes.
Thanks for taking the time to answer some questions for us, Peyton. How did you originally become interested in acting?
Peyton Wich: I participated in a variety of activities when I was younger, but I always quit. Nothing ever interested me. I would watch a lot of movies in...

In case you missed it, a recap of the first season of Stranger Things is now available as a sizzle reel styled like an old school Eighties Nintendo-style video game – and it suits the show's nostalgic themes perfectly.
The two-and-a-half minute clip kicks off with synthesized beats familiar to early RPG gamers, accompanied by a clunky graphic that reads "Press Start." The recap, titled "Level Up," then chronicles some of the series' bigger moments: Eleven emerging from the woods, her many instances of Eggo-snatching and that incredible van flipping over the kids' heads.

Stephen King's Mr. Mercedes is being adapted for TV by the Audience Network. Here's the first trailer...
Let's face it: if Stephen King wrote it, it's probably going to turn up on some sort of screen at some point.
The latest upcoming TV adaptation is Mr. Mercedes, King's 2014 novel about a retired police detective who is being stalked by a killer. It's still King writing at his very creepiest, as the hardboiled mystery unfolds page after page.
Here's the first trailer...
The TV adaptation is coming to the Audience Network from the minds of David E. Kelley (The Practice) and Jack Bender (Under the Dome). It will star Brendan Gleeson (28 Days Later).
The official synopsis, which came with the trailer, reads thusly...
"From Executive Producers Stephen King, David E. Kelley and Jack Bender comes the story of a demented serial killer who taunts a retired police...

“Stranger Things” is creeping out viewers, so it’s only fair that Netflix does the same to the cast. The streaming service has released a hidden-camera prank that it pulled on the stars of the show, including the actress who plays Eleven (Millie Bobby Brown), the boy who plays missing child Will Byers (Noah Schnapp), two of his nerdy friends (Gaten Matarazzo, Caleb McLaughlin) and even the actors who play the bullies (Peyton Wich, Cade Jones) that torment them. What starts out as strange radio noises and flickering lights in the fake interview session builds to objects being knocked to the ground.

Netflix’s “Stranger Things” has become a total phenomenon, becoming everyone’s must-watch new TV thriller of the season. During the red carpet premiere for the series, the cast did a slew of interviews to promote the show, but what they didn’t expect was to get scared by supernatural happenings during one of them.
The series directors, Matt and Ross Duffer, along with Millie Bobby Brown, Gaten Matarazzo, Noah Schnapp, Caleb McLaughlin, Natalie Dyer, Joe Keery, Peyton Wich, and Cade Jones were interviewed in groups and asked if they could describe the show in one word. As they all took turns answering they were interrupted by eerie incidents such as white noise from an unplugged radio and flickering lights.
