Luke Valentine has been removed from “Big Brother 25″ after using the N-word on the live feeds, CBS confirmed to Gold Derby on Wednesday.
“Luke violated the ‘Big Brother’ code of conduct and there is zero tolerance in the house for using a racial slur,” the network said in a statement. “He has been removed from the house. His departure will be addressed in Thursday night’s show.”
During a conversation with Jared Fields, Hisam Goueli and Cory Wurtenberger early Wednesday morning, Valentine casually said the N-word at the end of a sentence while talking about how he was previously in the cheese room. After catching himself, he apologized and said “dude” instead. Goueli and Wurtenberger were visibly stunned and left the room. Fields, who is Black, carried on a conversation with Valentine and they both downplayed it.

Big Brother Canada has announced its plans to replace live feeds with an edited daily segment, upsetting fans. However, the US version probably won’t follow suit.
‘Big Brother Canada’ removes Live Feeds
Big Brother Canada shocked the Bb community when it announced its plans to replace the 24/7 live feeds with Digital Dailies, beginning in the upcoming season 11. The Dailies will consist of “uncut content from inside the Bbcan house” and will be released weekly throughout the season.
As it’s only a selected portion of the content caught on camera, many fans are concerned that producers will remove anything that doesn’t paint their houseguests in a good light to reduce controversy.

The houseguests of Big Brother 24 have orchestrated their share of Eviction Night blindsides all summer. But even before Thursday’s live episode began, the identity of this week’s evicted player seemed as foregone a conclusion as Alyssa bombing a geography test.
After Michael and Brittany alerted their fellow houseguests to Kyle’s troubling comments about this season’s Bipoc players — for a full overview of the controversy, head on over to my recap of Wednesday’s episode — it’s been hard to envision a scenario where Kyle wouldn’t hit the block as a replacement nominee for either Brittany or Taylor.

Exactly one week ago, Big Brother‘s Gentlemen alliance — that is, the team-up of Kyland and Xavier — seemed as rock-solid as The Renegades, The Hitmen and other memorable male Bb duos before them.
Even after watching this show for the past 22 seasons, I would have had trouble believing that after Kyland saved Xavier from the block last week, their relationship in the house would end just seven days later with 1) Kyland getting evicted, 2) Xavier serving as Hoh when Kyland got booted, and 3) Kyland antagonizing Xavier so much on his way out that I honestly thought a fistfight was about to break out.

Big Brother has been on the air for 20 years.
The series has been a success story for CBS, but it has also been filled with controversial houseguests.
While most of the action is cut down to three one-hour episodes every week, the series has a 24-hour live feed that gives viewers a closer look into what goes on in the house.
We're running down the most controversial houseguests.
Jack Matthews (Season 21)
Matthews found himself in trouble for comments that viewers found both racist and aggressive.
He did not get on with fellow houseguest, Kemi Fakunle, and said to his allies that he wanted to "stomp a mudhole through" her chest.
He also called her "disgusting" and a "maggot" during their time in the house.
Matthews also courted controversy when called Asian-American houseguest Isabella Wang a "rice pudding."

Andy Herren, the winner of Big Brother 15, has criticized the CBS reality show's lack of diverse houseguests after saying he is "bitter" that production did not ask for him to return.
Herren released a statement via Twitter on Saturday on the matter.
“It is important to speak up because Big Brother has always had a problem with minority representation,” Herren said.
“There are usually at most two Black houseguests and one gay houseguest and Latino and Asian representation is even worse.”
He noted that “straight white males compromise 12 of the 21 winners of the show, which is so crazy when you really break it down.”
Herren added, “Gay houseguests, for example, [they] are never afforded this luxury. There is always just one. They are simply a side character — an obstacle for the straight people to overcome on their way to the finish line.”

After surviving the block in Week 4, thanks to the mere threat of his ride-or-die Christie Murphy’s Panic Power, Jack Matthews had no such advantage this week and was evicted 6-2 on Thursday to become the first juror.
His demise started last week when he betrayed his boy Jackson Michie’s trust, leading to the implosion of the Six Shooters, only to learn that Christie wasn’t as trustworthy as he had thought. But the beta Jason Momoa’s game was his secondary storyline on the show (though broadcast-only viewers would not know it), as he repeatedly made hateful and racist comments about multiple people, but especially about Kemi Fakunle, who’s black and was his main target for weeks.

After coming under fire for multiple racist and inappropriate comments made by houseguests this season, CBS executives vowed to do a postmortem on “Big Brother 21” after it concludes to see what they could do to improve and “do better” for next year.

Hey, fellow "Big Brother" fans. We're back at you with another pretty big story in regards to one of the former houseguests. It turns out that this former houseguest just got preggers within the last two and a half months. It's a very recent houseguest. Ok, ok. I'll go ahead and tell you who it is. It's none other than the intense fitness chick herself Christmas Abbot from this past season 19! For those of you who might not recall who she is, she's the super CrossFit athlete that finished in 3rd place during season 19 by riding houseguest Paul Abrahamian's coat tails the entire time. I mean she did whatever he told her to do along with everyone else during that season. I'm still shocked by it. It's also speculated that Christmas may have even developed a little crush on Paul at the time. Whether she did or didn't, that's...

CBS entertainment president Nina Tassler had a few choice words today for the young women who generated negative headlines during last summer’s edition of Big Brother. The timing of Gries behavior and that of GinaMarie Zimmerman was equally abhorrent, Tassler said. ”We have to look at last summer as a confluence of events with what was going with Treyvon Martin and Paula Deen. It was an extraordinary series of events that were dominating the news waves.

Aaryn Gries, a 23-year-old student, has been one of the faces of controversy in the "Big Brother 15" house this summer after racist and homophobic remarks she made on the live feeds made it into CBS' broadcasts of the show.
In a statement to the Los Angeles Times, Gries' mother Elizabeth Owens responds to CBS' decision to air her daughters remarks and apologizes for the things Gries said.
"While I love and continue to support my daughter Aaryn, words cannot describe my disappointment in some of her comments made on 'Big Brother.' These inappropriate comments certainly do not represent the value system under which her father and I have raised her. Aaryn is a young 22-year-old college student that has spent 70 days living in a fish bowl and making mistakes for America to see," writes Owens.
Owens continues that she hopes Aaryn will "own her mistakes and apologize emphatically to the people she has hurt,...

CBS's "Big Brother" has evicted Aaryn Gries, whose outer beauty was inversely proportional to the ugliness of the things she said. "Big Brother" host Julie Chen tried to make a teaching moment of Gries' eviction, replaying some of her racist and homophobic comments during her time in the house. Gries defended herself by saying she was joking, and didn't mean to offend. Aaryn Gries is in for a rude awakening. As the latest contestant of Big Brother Season 15 to get voted out of the house on Thursday, Aug. 29, the Texan native was immediately confronted by host Julie Chen about her racist remarks within the Big Brother house -- and then some. "Being Southern, it is a stereotype and I have said some things that have been taken completely out of context and wrong. I do not mean to ever come off racist," she said defending herself. To say it was a tough night for Aaryn Gries on "Big Brother" would be an understatement. First, she was unanimously evicted from the house. Then, she had to face Julie Chen. As you might recall, Aaryn is the houseguest who's made the most headlines for her racist and homophobic comments against her fellow contestants.
Julie Chen had previously promised that she would "grill" the college student whenever she was finally evicted from the house, and she certainly put Aaryn on the spot. Julie even read Aaryn a -- relatively tame -- list of some of her comments from inside the house. Aaryn was shocked and seemed genuinely upset by her own words, and the audience reaction she received throughout the interview.
“I do not remember saying those things and those things were not meant to be -- that was not meant to be serious," Aaryn said to boos and laughter from the assembled audience.

Aaryn Gries was evicted from the "Big Brother" house Thursday night ... and on her way out, she told Julie Chen she's not really a racist, she's just a misunderstood Texan. Seriously ... Gries -- who mocked Asians, trashed black people and referred to a gay houseguest as a "queer" during her stint on the reality competition show -- had the cojones to look Chen in the face and say, "I did not mean to ever come off as racist.
