Starring Richard Coyle in the lead, the English-language remake of Nicolas Winding Refn’s acclaimed Pusher will be hitting theatres next month, and after seeing the UK poster and trailer land back in February, the Us versions of each have now made their way online.
Both are pretty much identical (the trailer, especially), but until now we haven’t known the film’s release date, and now Radius/TWC have set it for a VoD release next weekend on 28th September, followed by a theatrical release on 26th October in the Us.
“Based on the edgy and explosive series by visionary director Nicolas Winding Refn (Drive, Bronson), a London drug dealer (Coyle) grows increasingly desperate over the course of a week after a botched deal leaves him with a large debt to a ruthless drug lord.”

Nicolas Winding Refn will of course forever be remembered and loved for his Cannes-winner Drive, the first film in what will hopefully be a long collaborating career with Ryan Gosling.
But his incredibly popular Pusher trilogy dates back all the way to 1996, and this year will see the English-language remake hit the big screen, with Winding Refn himself serving as executive producer.
“Nicolas Winding Refn serves as executive producer on this English-language remake of his cult crime classic, about a big-time London drug dealer whose life spins out of control over the course of a chaotic week.”
The film has just been announced as part of the new additions to this year’s Toronto International Film Festival, and alongside the announcement comes this great new batch of images giving us an idea what we have to look forward to later this year.
