ZDFneo hat von Iconoclast Films eine vierte Staffel der deutschen Comedy-Serie „Doppelhaushälfte“ in Auftrag gegeben, deren Produktion auch schon läuft.

Die ZDFneo-Serie „Doppelhaushälfte“ hat einen Lauf. Jetzt hat die Produktion zu der schon vierten Staffel mit neun neuen Folgen begonnen. Das Ganze entsteht derzeit unter Leitung von Headwriter Dennis Schanz im Writersroom mit Stephan Greitemeier, Minh-Khai Phan-Thi, Miriam Suad Bühler, Amina Eisner, Andreas Reinhardt, Freya Herrmann, Alice Gruia und Vera Klocke in Berlin und Brandenburg. Regie führen Rebeca Ofek, Merle Grimme und Dennis Schanz.
Produziert wird die Serie im Auftrag von ZDFneo von Iconoclast Films. Lucia Haslauer und Melvina Kotios haben die Zdf-Redaktion, ZDFneo-Koordinatorin ist Carina Bernd. Die Dreharbeiten sind bis zum 10. Oktober geplant.

International feature film and commercial content group Iconoclast and Berlin-based StickUp Films have established a new joint venture to produce feature films and series for the domestic and international markets.
Represented by Creative Artists Agency (CAA), the new shingle, Iconoclast Films Germany, is aiming to produce a minimum of three film or series projects annually within a five-year ramp-up period.
The company is headed by Luis Singer and Dennis Schanz of StickUp Films – the creators and co-producers of Netflix’s award-winning series “Skylines” — as well as Iconoclast executive producer Swantje Rummel.
Iconoclast sees the new venture as part of its international content strategy and a logical extension of its brand. Netflix’s VP for Original Series, Kelly Luegenbiehl, has unveiled five new German originals which will launch on the streaming service in 2019. Speaking at the Medientage München conference this morning, she said the titles will be available in all of the markets where Netflix is present. The projects include Skylines, a contemporary drama produced by Maren Ade who directed, wrote and produced Oscar nominee Toni Erdmann.
The five projects are a variety of genres and formats, including historical and futuristic works, crime drama, a quirky coming-of-age story and a family saga. They add to Netflix’s current slate of three local originals including Dark, Dogs Of Berlin and The Wave which are in various stages of development and production. Dogs Of Berlin is led by showrunner Christian Alvart and launches on December 7.
This represents a significant investment in the German market and Luegenbiehl said, “We want to tell local stories with global appeal.

International Film Festival Rotterdam (Iffr) has selected 61 emerging film producers from 26 countries to the 16th edition of Rotterdam Lab.
Rotterdam Lab is organised by Iffr’s co-production market, CineMart, in collaboration with various partner organisations involved in the training of young producers, as well as funding bodies.
Rotterdam Lab is a five-day training workshop for emerging producers designed to provide the means to create and expand their international network and boost their confidence and skills to navigate the world of international finance, sales and distribution and markets.
Another aim of Rotterdam Lab is to support its participants setting up or adapting their companies within the quickly changing media landscape. The participants are nominated by the 29 CineMart partners. This year, Rotterdam Lab welcomes Arab Cinema Center (Egypt), Docskool (Nepal) and Singapore Film Commission as new partners.
