When a virus threatens to turn the now earth-dwelling friendly alien hybrids against humans, Captain Rose Corley must lead a team of elite mercenaries on a mission to the alien world in order to save what's left of humanity.
The special effects are OK - the acting is passable - the rest is rubbish. When are they going to realise that they cannot take the premise that 'a female can do that too', and create a fake movie solely based on that social agenda premise. There are many strong leading roles for females that have been successful. What gets lost when they deliberatly put a female in the lead role when it clearly does not suit, is that the 'real' nature of the film is lost - and what comes through so blantantly is that it is feminist agenda rubbish. Hunger Games, The Old Guard, Pride and Prejudice, Silence of the Lambs, Mad Max Fury Road, Kill Bill, Aliens, Atomic Blonde, etc etc etc are all very very good movies - and that a female is in the lead/main role works for those movies. Those sort of movies are not about a 'social issue' agenda - and by doing that they do far more to change perceptions and bias. This sort of feminist agenda rubbish does exactly the opposite.
