The Miles Doleac-directed musical-comedy-thriller Open has obtained a SAG-AFTRA interim agreement to promote its upcoming release in theaters and on streaming platforms including Amazon Prime Video.
The film’s world premiere event took place at Tcl Chinese 6 at Ovation Hollywood (formerly Hollywood & Highland) on 1st November 2023, followed by a limited theatrical on 3rd November 2023 and wide streaming release 7th November 2023. Open tells the story of Kristina (Lindsay Anne Williams), a woman in a troubled marriage, who falls for a former TV star and teen heartthrob (Jeremy London), whose previously promising career has collapsed. All the while, Kristina experiences music video-like hallucinations wherein she fronts an 80’s new wave band. The script, which brings vibes that scream Marriage Story meets Scott Pilgrim Vs. "I never start seeing anybody without stalking them first." Well, okay. Virgil Films has revealed an official trailer for an indie musical comedy called Open. A woman in a troubled marriage falls for her former teen heartthrob, who's fallen from industry favor, while having nagging (and empowering) hallucinations about fronting an 80's New Wave Band. Turns out this isn't really about wanting to be in a band, it's a weird story about open relationships and trouble romance. Starring Lindsay Anne Williams as Kristina, Jeremy London, William Forsythe, Amber Reign Smith, Elena Sanchez, and Miles Doleac. For the film's 10 original songs, writers Doleac & Williams partnered with their collaborator and composer, Clifton Hyde, and Oliver Hofer, to create a musical landscape "that's sure to delight fans of synth-driven 80’s post-punk." Or not. Because this looks really bad - the trailer is incoherent, and I don't expect the film to be any better.

Earlier this month, the Screen Actors Guild (SAG-AFTRA) union went on strike after talks with the Alliance of Motion Picture and Television Producers (AMPTP) broke down. These discussions mostly centered around protections against the adaptation of AI technology as well as streaming residuals.
At the end of the Atlanta rally, Massa walked on stage while his jacket was ablaze. He posted a video of the event on Instagram, writing, “We are tired of being burned by the AMPTP.

Mike Massa, a veteran Hollywood stuntman who’s credits include “Star Trek”, “The Italian Job” and doubling for Harrison Ford in the last two “Indiana Jones” movie, made a big impression during an Atlanta protest in support of the SAG-AFTRA strike.
Stunt performers are members of the Screen Actors Guild, and while many actors have responded with fiery speeches, Massa raised the bar by making his point using actual fire.
Dozens gathered at Fayetteville’s Covert Camera Vehicles to show solidarity, speak out against corporate greed, and watch one particularly enthusiastic protestor (safely) go up in flames.

Veteran stuntman and SAG member Mike Massa, who most recently doubled Harrison Ford on “Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny,” sent a dramatic message to the Alliance of Motion Picture and Television Producers by lighting himself on fire while holding a “SAG-AFTRA on Strike” sign at a rally in Atlanta on Monday.
“We are tired of being burned by the AMPTP,” read the caption on the video that was shared to his and stuntwoman Elena Sanchez’s Instagram accounts. A man was positioned behind Massa on the stage to safely put out the flames with a fire extinguisher.
In a second post, the German-born stunt performer wrote, “We wanted to make a statement and I think we did! It was great to see such a great turnout from our local Stunt community, local leadership, and actors who showed up to support us.”

Since the SAG-AFTRA strike began earlier this month, the focus has largely been on how actors have taken to the picket line. But SAG-AFTRA is also the union for thousands of stunt workers, and on Monday, they held a rally of their own to show support to the union.
Per Atlanta News First, the rally took place Monday afternoon in Fayetteville, Georgia, with members of the state’s stunt community coming to protest for wage increases, residual payments, and protections against artificial intelligence.
“We should share in the successes of our employer when their product goes and they make billions with a ‘B.’ Billions of dollars on the backs of the people who do the work,” SAG-AFTRA local president Eric Goins told Atlanta News First.

Gravitas Ventures have announced the acquisition of director Miles Doleac’s macabre riff on the Cernunnos myth, Demigod, which stars Rachel Nichols. The distributor plans for a late-October, day-and-date streaming and theatrical release.
Directed and co-written by Doleac (alongside Michael Donovan Horn), Demigod was produced by Doleac, James Victor Bulian, Lindsay Anne Williams, and Wesley O’Mary, the same team behind 2020’s The Dinner Party. Demigod’s supporting cast includes Doleac, Williams, Elena Sanchez, and Jeremy London.
Says Doleac:
I’m extremely grateful to Jeff Cooper and to Gravitas for their belief in this film’s potential. From its infancy, I knew this was a film that I wanted seen on the big screen. I’m heartened that audiences will have the opportunity to see it in movie theaters, an increasing rarity, of course, for true indie films.

This is the first trailer released for a new haunted house horror thriller called Delirium. It doesn't look like a great horror movie, but it does look like it might be fun to watch. The story follows a group of teens who dare one of their friends to walk up to the porch of a legendary haunted house and he ends up disappearing. So his friends decide to go on in after him, and as you'll see, terror awaits them.
What I like about this is that this is stuff my brothers, friends, and I would do all the time when we were growing up! It was always fun exploring abanded old building and houses that we thought were haunted! Here's the synopsis:
The Hell Gang, an exclusive group of friends, promise a schoolmate that he can join their gang if he can just make it to the porch of...

"I didn't have a good feeling about this..." Gravitas Ventures has debuted the first official trailer for a horror thriller titled Delirium, which first premiered last year but is just getting a release in early 2018. This is actually one of the first feature films made by former stuntman and second unit director Johnny Martin, who later went on to direct Vengeance: A Love Story with Nicolas Cage, and Hangman with Al Pacino, both also released this year (before this film). Delirium is about a group of teens who dare a classmate to reach the porch of a legendary old house, but he never comes back. So they gear up and go in themselves to get him. Starring Mike C. Manning, Griffin Freeman, August Roads, Ryan Pinkston, Seth Austin, and Elena Sanchez. This looks like a very wild, testosterone-filled haunted house horror flick. Tread carefully. Source: Lionsgate Philip Seymour Hoffman only had seven days of filming left on The Hunger Games: Mockingjay - Part 2 before his passing, Deadline reports. The actor graced the screen with Jennifer Lawrence and Josh Hutcherson in Catching Fire last Fall and had recently filmed scenes for the follow-up films. His character, Plutarch Heavensbee, plays a pivotal role in the franchise's last two installments, and there is no word on what the studio will do to make up for the scenes Hoffman hadn't yet filmed. Still, according to reports, the release dates - Nov. 21, 2014, and Nov. 20, 2015 - will not change. Some of Hoffman's final work in front of the camera will be featured in the Mockingjay movies, making his scenes even more significant for his fans and loved ones. Catching Fire's Elena Sanchez had already been in more than a dozen movies when she was cast as victor and tribute Cecelia, but this film presented a new challenge for her. As a stuntwoman, Elena is used to playing a more behind-the-scenes role, so she admits that it was intimidating to join Jennifer Lawrence, Josh Hutcherson, and the rest of the cast in on one of her first big acting jobs. Watch to see Elena school us in some of the swordwork she picked up for the Hunger Games sequel and to show off some of the aerial work that makes her an in-demand stunt performer for movies like Looper and Oblivion.

Miley Cyrus is one lucky girl! Her fiancée Liam positively smolders in this new still from ‘Catching Fire’, as he looks super sexy playing Gale.
Mockingjays get excited! A new still from The Hunger Games: Catching Fire was released on April 12, and Liam Hemsworth sure looks good! In this new pic, fans can see Gale being dragged away by the Peacekeepers — perhaps being sexy is considered a crime — and boy does he look good!
‘Catching Fire’ Still Shows Sexy Gale
Be still my beating heart, because Liam looks great in this still from the sequel to The Hunger Games!
Liam, 23, will have a much bigger part in the second installment of the hit franchise, as he, Katniss (Jennifer Lawrence) and Peeta (Josh Hutcherson) fight against the Capitol in this dystopian drama.
It’s going to be so good!
In another new still, Katniss is seen comforting a sad Prim.
