On March 24, Lionsgate released “John Wick: Chapter 4,” the fourth installment of the Keanu Reeves-led franchise. John Wick uncovers a path to defeating The High Table. But before he can earn his freedom, Wick must face off against a new enemy with powerful alliances across the globe and forces that turn old friends into foes.
With a Rotten Tomatoes score of 93%, critics are raving, “‘John Wick: Chapter 4’ piles on more of everything — and suggests that when it comes to a well-dressed Keanu Reeves dispatching his enemies in lethally balletic style, there can never be too much.”
In addition to Reeves, the returning cast includes Laurence Fishburne as underworld boss the Bowery King, Lance Reddick as Continental Hotel concierge Charon, and Ian McShane as Winston Scott, the manager of the Continental Hotel who betrayed John at the end of “Chapter 3.” New cast members include Bill Skarsgård as the Marquis de Gramont,...

We are so dang close to the release of Disney’s Dumbo, but in the meantime we are getting fun little clip and featurette to keep us excited for the big day.
I already know I’m going to cry because I absolutely cannot get through the original animated movie without bawling like a baby about Dumbo’s mom being taken away from him and singing Baby Mine through the jail cell while he cries. I mean, a crying baby elephant. So wrong!
Anyway, I can also tell I am not going to like Danny DeVito’s character as he doesn’t seem to take kindly to Dumbo, despite it being totally obvious that a baby elephant with gigantic ears and big blue eyes would totally be a money-maker for his greedy sleaze ball of a character.
In the clip we see everyone from the circus crew seeing Dumbo for the first time,...

The first reactions for Tim Burton’s live-action “Dumbo” rolled in following the film’s March 11 world premiere in Los Angeles, and so far so good. The release is Burton’s first tentpole after a string of critical and commercial disappointments, including “Miss Peregrine’s Home for Peculiar Children” and “Dark Shadows.” Fortunately, buzz on “Dumbo” is already much stronger than Burton’s more recent films, with numerous critics and film journalists calling “Dumbo” by far Burton’s best live-action effort in years.
“It’s a beautiful and whimsical movie, starring a CGI elephant with so much heart,” writes Gamespot entertainment editor Chris Hayner. “It’s also a rather simple tale, so don’t expect tons of character depth. But I still had a blast with the ride it took me on and it’s the best Burton’s been in years.”

After Justice League underwhelmed at the box office last year, fans are taking it as a sad reflection of the troubled state of the Dceu that everyone’s turning to Aquaman to save this burgeoning cinematic universe now that Batman and Superman have apparently lost a bit of their spark with moviegoers. But the funny thing is, Arthur Curry’s standalone outing may actually be up to the task.
For the first time since Wonder Woman, a DC film’s been receiving nothing but excitement and hype from fans, instead of the usual leaks, rumors and critical derision that we’ve sadly become used to. And that continues today now that the social media embargo has lifted, allowing critics to give us brief reviews on the movie before their full thoughts arrive next month. And let’s just say it looks like we’re in for one heck of a good time.
