Match #1: House of Black def. Dante Martin, Action Andretti & Matt Sydal The following is courtesy of allelitewrestling.com:
Action and Buddy locked up, countering wrist locks on one another. Sydal grabbed a bling tag and cradled Buddy for a two-count. Malakai Black entered the fay but so did Dante Martin, who flipped from the top turnbuckle and crash landed onto Malakai. Black blasted Action with a pump kick. Brody tagged in and bulldozed Andretti. With assistance from Black’s kick, Brody suplexed Action and then flew through the ropes and wiped out all three members of the opposition on the arena floor. Match #1: Aew International Championship Match – Orange Cassidy def. Angelico The following is courtesy of allelitewrestling.com:
Orange and Angelico chain wrestled and then Cassidy loaded up for the Orange Punch. Angelico rolled to the outside to take a breather and collect his thoughts. Back in the ring, Angelico punted Orange in the hip. Orange played mind games, placing his hands in his pockets. He used a wristlock takeover and flying head scissors on Angelico. Orange crumbled as Angelico chop blocked him. Angelico kicked Orange’s leg, inflicting more damage. Angelico tied up Orange in a submission. Orange escaped,...

Match #1: Aew World Tag Team Title Match – Ricky Starks & Big Bill def. Ftr (Dax Harwood & Cash Wheeler) The following is courtesy of allelitewrestling.com:
Starks charged Ftr! He nailed Dax with a satellite Ddt after bashing Dax’s shoulder into the steel ring post. Big Bill tagged in a slugged Dax with a vicious lariat, knocking Harwood over the top rope and onto the arena floor. Doc Sampson was checking on Cash on the arena floor. Match #1: Aew International Championship Match – Jon Moxley def. Action Andretti The following is courtesy of wwe.com:
Moxley blasted Andretti with a chop in the corner. Mox cracked Action with a forearm. Moxley extended his leg, booting Andretti in the face. Action surprised Moxley with a tope suicida. Moxley hammered away with headbutts. Andretti clipped Mox with a dropkick. Action flipped over the ropes and crashed onto Moxley. The champ charged at Andretti, but Andretti dodged him, and Moxley’s own momentum forced him into the steel ring steps. Moxley rallied back with a wild dive through the ropes to Action. Andretti fought back with a Falcon Arrow.

Rey Fenix connected with a dropkick to Ethan Page. “All Ego” Ethan Page backed up and tagged out to Lee Moriarty. Bandido grabbed a tag and he and Lee traded strikes. Another week, another episode of Aew: Dark which this week features seven matches. Let’s see what went down…
Match #1: Juice Robinson def. Pat Buck
My Thoughts: Pat Buck, back in the ring? Yes, the man who’s spent most of the recent years behind the scenes in both Aew and previously WWE, gets in front of the camera for a match against Bullet Club Gold’s Juice Robinson and big things were, honestly, expected. Yet whilst it was a solid match it didn’t set the world on fire. Great opener for Dark though!
My Score: 3 out of 5 Match #2: The Renegades def. Kiah Dream & Brittany J
My Thoughts: What a surprise, the Renegades face enhancement talent and get a quick, decisive, squash match win. But when they’re the enhancement talent? The same happens to them! I get a steady job is good in the wider “indie...

Another week, another episode of Aew: Dark which once again this week features a whopping Nine matches – where’s the swift and fun five-match card gone?! Anyway, on with the review…
Match #1: Ar Fox def. Nick Comoroto
My Thoughts: Good god, this was an unexpectedly great match! I honestly didn’t think we’d see a match this good from Nick Comoroto. Ever. Kudos to Ar Fox for getting such a good performance from Comoroto, making both of them look fantastic come the match’s conclusion.
My Score: 3.5 out of 5 Match #2: Skye Blue def. Queen Aminata
My Thoughts: And you can repeat everything I said about the Fox/Comoroto match for this match too. Queen Aminata has always stood out from the enhancement talent Aew bring in to face their performers and here she got a great match out of Skye Blue, easily one of her best matches in the company so far.

Welcome back to another review of Aew Dark: Elevation, which features just matches this week. We’ve got regulars Paul Wight and Matt Menard on commentary as usual. So let’s get into the review!
Match #1: Tony Nese and Ari Daivari def. Lane Summers and Campbell Myers
My Thoughts: This was an incredibly dull opening match and a squash match at that too. Nese and Daivari are, unfortunately, pretty much charisma-free and that doesn’t help their matches in the slightest; and with this match we didn’t even get any words from Mark Sterling to cover that fact up!
My Score: 1 out of 5 Match #2: Nyla Rose and Marina Shafir def. Briar and Sage Hale
My Thoughts: This was another squash match from the team of Rose and Shafir. Interestingly, Jon Moxley revealed on a podcast this week that he’s been working with Shafir to try and...

Another week, another episode of Aew: Dark which this week features nine matches and is once again filmed at the Dark studios in Orlando, Florida rather than coming from on the road… Anyway, on with the review.
Match #1: Ar Fox & Top Flight def. The Wingmen
My Thoughts: What’s this? The Wingmen in a decent match shocker! I know that’s hard to believe given how they’ve been booked in forever… but it looks like the were given a chance to shine against Top Flight and Ar Fox, who also managed to draw out decent wrestling from the normally-comedic team. Surprising but superb start to this week’s show.
My Score: 3.5 out of 5 Match #2: Red Velvet def. Sofia Castillo
My Thoughts: What went on here then? Red Velvet has a good match on Elevation then we get this on Dark. In one match she looks strong and...

Another week, another episode of Aew: Dark which this week features nine matches and some more “dark” regulars rather than the stacked cards we’ve had more recently. On with the review…
Match #1: Angelico def. Dante Casanova
My Thoughts: This was ridiculously short and decidedly average. Casanova did get a pinfall attempt on Angelico but to no avail. I’m guessing this is the start of the build of the Sap, the new faction featuring Luther, Serpentico and Angelico.
My Score: 1 out of 5 Match #2: The Workhorsemen def. The Hughes Brothers
My Thoughts: I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again, but I really Love The Workhorsemen, I really do. Which meant I enjoyed this match a lot. It felt like a breath of fresh air after the opening match hat’s for sure!
My Score: 2.5 out of 5 Match #3: Fuego del Sol def. Lucky Ali...

Match #1: 300,000 Three Kings Christmas Casino Trios Royale The following is courtesy of allelitewrestling.com:
Rush wrapped the TV camera cord around Orange’s neck and began to pull back. Preston Vance planted Chuck Taylor with a spinebuster. The Blackpool Combat Club came out next and entered the ring like a wrecking ball! Kip Sabian stomped on Orange Cassidy in the corner. Dark Order entered the fray next! They charged right at Preston Vance, their former partner. Orange Cassidy jumped off the top rope with a crossbody press but was caught by Claudio, Evil Uno, and Alex Reynolds!

Another week, another episode of Aew: Dark which features 8 matches on the card this week (thankfully; I do love a shorter show)… On with the review!
Match #1: Lee Johnson, Qt Marshall and Cole Karter def. Justin Corino, Ryan Mooney and Steven Josifi
My Thoughts: I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again, the new additions to The Factory faction have given the group a huge boost. Case in point, this match. Johnson and Karter work well as a duo and even made Qt Marshall a new edge!
My Score: 2.5 out of 5 Match #2: Zack Clayton def. Chris Wylde
My Thoughts: Clayton is seemingly being booked like a lot of the lower-tier Aew talent, he loses to any “big name” talent but then wins against outside enhancement talent. Which is, honestly, kind of boring. Even more so when it’s someone like Clayton, who needs an extra...

Another week, another episode of Aew: Dark which emanates from Aew Universal once again. We’ve got Taz and Excalibur on commentary as usual so let’s get to the action!
Match #1: Ari Daivari def. Fuego Del Sol
My Thoughts: Loved this match. Fuego looked like a badass for once, taking it to Ari – who really took a beating in this match, the antithesis of how we’ve seen him recently in Aew. Eventually Ari cheated to get the win as all heels do. Surprisingly great match to open Dark.
My Score: 3.5 out of 5 Match #2: Willow Nightingale def. Robyn Renegade
My Thoughts: What’s not to love about a match featuring Willow Nightingale? Imho, she needs to be signed with a major promotion Asap, she’s got the personality, the charisma and the skills and every crowd she wrestles in front of Loves her! Plus the Renegade twins...

Welcome to this week’s review of Aew Dark: Elevation, the opening salvo in the Aew wrestling week. Once again we’ve got Excalibur, Caprice Coleman and Mark Henry on commentary and I’m digging the switch-ups we’ve had on the commentary team in recent weeks… Let’s see what the show has to offer!
Match #1: Angelico and Private Party (Marq Quen and Isiah Kassidy) def. Ar Fox, Liam Gray and Adrian Alanis
My Thoughts: There was nothing remarkable about this match as Private Party continue to coast along and not live up to the hype of their signing back at the beginning of Aew. In fact, Private Party on Being the Elite is Better than Private Party in the ring! So in the end we get an average score for an average match.
My Score: 2.5 out of 5 Match #2: Marina Shafir and Nyla Rose def. Angelica Risk...

Last night (July 29, 2015) Lucha Underground kicked off the first of two episodes of Ultima Lucha. This was just a taste of what was to come next week in their special 2-hour season finale. To catch up on all the matches check out my Ultima Lucha preview article. This week we were treated to three matches that were all entertaining in their own special way. First off, it was The Mack taking on “The Man They Call” Cage in a “Falls Count Anywhere” match. To get an idea of how crazy this match went, they never actually entered the ring to wrestle.
Next up was the Trios championship match that pitted the Disciples of Death (with Catrina) against Son of Havoc, Ivelisse, and Angelico. A chaotic bout that included a spot that quite possibly topped Angelico’s previous leaps.
In the main event, it was Drago vs. Hernandez in...
