Bengali superstar Jeet’s much anticipated film ‘Manush’ ahead of its release has launched its official title track, and it is a banger. An emotional hard rock song, it brings the full package to the table giving one sing-along track.
Packed with punchy guitar riffs, the song starts off slow and gentle and is in fact very mellow, almost sounding somewhat depressing. But it soon begins to pick up pace as guitar sounds begin playing in the background, and soon brings in punchy power-packed riffs.
A departure from mainstream cinema, the song is somewhat unique because while it does pack in the film style it is pure hard rock and packs in two amazing solos, turning into a shred-fest at times.
The drumming is pretty basic, but it drives home the groove and the bass is audible enough. Synthesisers play a good part in the song, and it is almost...

The song ‘Barse Re’ from Bengali superstar Jeet’s upcoming Bengali film ‘Manush’ is a very peppy, celebratory, groovy song that will make you want to dance in the rain. The vocal duo of Shreya Ghoshal and Abhay Jodhpurkar really knows how to make the song energetic and catchy, while at the same time making it just outright beautiful. Complementing each other’s vocal talents extremely well, the two shine the brightest as their voices are direct contrasts to one another.
Extremely filmy and perfectly suited for masala films, the song despite being jovial is not melodramatic or over-the-top. It is not even cheesy or corny, rather ‘Barse Re’ is just the anthem you need to dance regardless of the consequences.
The composition of Aneek Dhar is also something that deserves a proper mention.
There is some electronic lacing employed over Shreya Ghoshal’s vocals in select points, but overall...

As Bengali cinema evolves itself to a pan-Indian style, Bengali star Jeet’s upcoming action-thriller film ‘Manush’ has dropped an adrenaline-fuelled trailer for the feature, showcasing Jeet as a brutal one man army who is motivated by vengeance, and hellbent on destroying the underworld.
A killer who lurks in the shadows, Jeet is more of an anti-hero than an actual hero because instead of being the typical good-guy, he is a man who lost a great deal to the underworld of narcotics, and is now hunting those who destroyed his life.
An elite officer of the anti-narcotics division, Jeet plays the character of Victor, a highly devoted family man who fights the drug world with a burning hatred. Even breaking the law and committing brutal murders, the police who were chasing this man are shocked to discover his actual status as a cop.

As Bengali cinema aims to go pan-Indian with its new high-budget productions, actor Jeet dons a menacing new avatar in the teaser for his upcoming action film ‘Manush’. The teaser shows a very high quality and astounding production, featuring some incredible set designs and looks rather similar to something that is going on in South Indian cinemas these days.
Brutally violent, the ‘Asur’ actor in the short teaser reveals just enough about his character and what exactly he really is.
Though unclear if he is a hero or more of an anti-hero, while stepping out of the car in full style and crushing glass under his boots, he says in English: “I don’t count money, I count only life.”
Cutting to several other scenes of other actors and scenarios, one of which includes a kind of thick smoke stemming from a fire or possibly an explosion, it cuts to...

Actor Angad Bedi, who has worked in romantic films back-to-back, says that filmmakers for the longest time didn’t imagine such roles for him but is thrilled to get this opportunity now. Angad expressed his enthusiasm for this new chapter in his acting career and said: “Romantic roles have always been a favorite of mine, and I’m thrilled to see the positive response they’ve received. It’s a genre that allows you to explore a wide range of emotions, and I’m grateful for the opportunities I’ve had to bring these characters to life.
He added: “Makers for the longest time didn’t imagine me in such roles I guess because I played some grey shades to negative parts. So the typically cliched macho imagery got stuck.”
“I really had to find ways to break away from it. Because I don’t want to be defined by a genre.

After Cheeni Kum, Paa & Shamitabh, Ghoomer is R Balki’s fourth venture with the Bachchan’s and it pretty much appears that the Balki-Bachchan combination proves to be a success formula. R Balki’s ‘Ghoomer’, is about Anina (Saiyami Kher), a batter inching towards a place in the National side; where Abhishek Bachchan (as Padam Singh Sodhi aka Paddy) takes centre stage in a role that defies conventions and expectations. The two are ably supported by Shabana Azmi (as Anina’s Dadi) and Angad Bedi.
R Balki reunites with Abhishek Bachchan
With Ghoomer, Balki has tried to fit in quite a few inspiring examples stitched into one in the form of a single narrative. There have been sports films in the past too featuring a guru-shishya model with a very strict guru imparting training with his own ways so the shishya achieves what the guru could not or was unable to.

Lucknow, May 27 (Ians) Chitkara University blanked out Chandigarh University 3-0, and Srm University thrashed Bengal’s Adamas University with a similar score in their respective finals of the Khelo India University Games 2022 at the Bbd Badminton Hall here on Saturday.
Though the winners from the North have retained the men’s team trophy without breaking a sweat, the team from the South made history by winning their maiden title in Kiug 2022, eroding the base of Adamas from the East, winner of gold in the last edition held in Bengaluru.
In the final of the men’s team competition, Yashansh Malik provided the impetus with a 3-1 win over Chandigarh varsity’s Divyansh Srivastava in the first rubber. Both executed their shots well. But the tall Yashansh negotiated well, and his placements proved apt. Even the long rallies were of no avail, as the Chitkara paddler won.

Davia and Dennis need new friends.
Our gang faces some setbacks and hardships on Good Trouble Season 5 Episode 9 as Davia and Dennis realize they're not fond of each other's new friends (neither are we), Luca is at odds with his dance crush, and Malika may want out of politics.
And, for the angst lovers, we got some bittersweet developments with Mariana and Evan.
Does anyone else want to meet Jeet? He's godawful all around, and it's just such a monotonous waiting game for all of his actions and ick factor to botch something at the restaurant.
He's already doing a bang-up job of making Luca as uncomfortable as ever, nitpicking his every move and criticizing him. And Mable seems intuitive enough to know there's something off about the guy.
Jeet still acts like a frat boy. Davia wasn't wrong about that assessment of him, and it's hard to believe a...

The theme of the hour was along the lines of being vulnerable and being seen.
And for some of the characters, they desperately needed that, and it was commendable that Good Trouble Season 5 Episode 6 opted to touch on some of those things, especially with newcomers Luca and Joaquin.
It was also heartwarming to see Mariana get a win with Evan as everything around them falls apart.
Some of the storylines of the hour meandered a bit and weren't as interesting as others, and that can be the case in this series when it juggles so many characters they only sometimes know what to do with them.
As incredibly talented as Emma Hunton is, sometimes the musical aspects of this series can be too much or an acquired taste. And this time, it was easy to check out her storyline as a woman navigating the theater community and advocating for herself and her character.

"As a teenager, I was misunderstood, like many teenagers or youngsters in every society. I went through that phase in my personal life where I had potential but no inspiration.
