Get ready. Get set. Brian Troxell plans on releasing his low budget exploitation film upon an unsuspecting public promising gore and carnage along the lines of such seminal films as Maniac (featuring Joe Spinell), Pieces (featuring Christopher George) or the definitive film of modern day gore, Herschell Gordon Lewis's Blood Feast. What nasties? What shocks does this low budget gore auteur have in store for us? He's keeping pretty tight lipped for the time being, but he promises something evocative of the films of the 70's and 80's that set a new precedent. Can his low budget film set a new precedent in the indie horror world? We'll just have to wait and see, only time will tell. And with a company name like Abyssmal Entertainment, even if the movie proves to be abysmal, you really can't say you didn't get what you expected. With any luck Doomsday County will be prove to be anything but abysmal because the premise sure sounds like fun.
